They can probably find a taker for Fleury if he'll waive, if not they can trim off bits by getting rid of Carrier, Reeves, and Holden, or a bigger chunk with Martinez
The only thing lower - the mythical future considerationsWow is Bjugstad’s value that low?? Geez
I’m pretty sure there will be a TON of surprising bargains this year.Wow is Bjugstad’s value that low?? Geez
And Slats.Edge is probably wasted right now with Gorton and JD.
But is he burnt toast?? I mean PIT retained 50% and only got a conditional 7th back lolGuerin doing his old crew a solid with that move. Bjugstad is toast.
I miss 'and cash'.The only thing lower - the mythical future considerations
I would have been into Bjugstad at 2 million as a stand in for Strome at 2C. I think he'd put up better numbers.
Not sure if this was posted in here before. Coyotes are in a bad spot. Salary needs to go out. Yes, there are others on shorter deals that can be moved maybe like Bjugstad was, but they've got no draft picks. New GM. They're going to move a bigger piece out.
Gorton needs to explore Dvorak. That would be a great piece to get back.
Christian Fischer is another name I'd like. He can be had for next to nothing at this point. I also wouldn't hate a Stepan reunion for a year as a stopgap at 2C if Strome is moved for value in a separate deal. If the Rangers take on Stepan's full 6.5 million cap hit, I'd want another big piece coming back if the Rangers are forking over a top pick.
f*** it, let's get silly
To ARI:
Carolina 1st
Lias Andersson (for the lolz, make it full circle)
To NYR:
Jakob Chychrun
Derek Stepan at full salary
Christian Fischer
Strome gets dealt in a separate deal for a 1st next year or two 2nd's this year.
I know you’re tongue-in-cheek - and the premise is reasonable. But I have a quibble - I wouldn’t be moving Lias at this point. No value. And he may even grow back what value he had earlier. Rangers fill all of their needs in one fell swoop. Top 9 center? Check. Top 4 LHD? Check. Bottom 6 checker? Check.
Prior to being stapled to Panarin's hip, Strome only hit 35+ points…once. You think Nick Bjugstad would put up better numbers than Ryan Strome as our 2C? He has played at a 35 point pace over the last 5 years and just a 26 point pace over the last 3 years. No chance he matches Strome’s production, even with Panarin at the hip.

Some of the best of the smoky mountains. No, that's one that's always bothered me. My wife and I were on a weekend getaway in western Virginia during the draft, and we were specifically on Skyline Drive on day two, so maybe that's why the Kempe thing is a little fuzzy.
Can we zoom in?I have a few people who are coming to visit me in PA to get away from NY and their cities.
Time will be spent together. Wine will be plentiful. Discussions will take place. I'm actually meeting one of them early in about 2 hours.
I say this with caveat that I will not be grilling them for hours with questions, and anything pre-draft is a subject to some level of confidentiality. And even then, I only get partial puzzle pieces prior to the draft.
Doesn't dvorak make like 700k or something.
How does trading him make financial sense to them.
They need to dump Kessel or stepan...or both.
Yes, I was being facetious about trading Lias. It makes no sense to do so at this time. Maybe he plays well in Sweden and either JD has another "come to Jesus" talk with him and he joins us for the playoff push, or worst case scenario builds his value for a trade next summer.I know you’re tongue-in-cheek - and the premise is reasonable. Dvorak makes $4.45m.
Stepan might be tradeable.
Kessel is not tradeable without not retention
I think OEL is likely the the only big dollar piece moved.
