Yup, pretty similar to what I'd like to see and, TBH, I think Chytil and Andersson would be good compliments to each other regardless of which one would wind up as a C or a W. But they are both rookies and I just can't see them put together just yet.

I feel like since Andersson is so solid playing both ways (and honestly Chytil ain't bad either in that regard) that throwing a player as safe and stable as Fast with them kinda clears that up

Can someone comment please on what Namestnikov brings to the table? from what I have seen so far, he just seems like an average plug- not really great at much- someone who is easily replaceable with UFAs... sorry if this isn't the right place, but didn't want to start a new thread. I would much rather have someone that was good at something then average at everything-

Hopefully he's great at being a placeholder during the season and then getting a good return at TDL. Same with Spooner.

If he's playing in the NHL this year, I'd just rather it be on the wing. He'd be a bit more sheltered in terms of defensive responsibilities that way.

The thing with me is if they see Chytil and Andersson both as centers long term I personally wouldn’t want to do the Dubinsky and Miller thing where they get yo-yoed back and forth from center to wing. If they view them as centers they should let them develop as centers and roll 4 lines fairly evenly.

Right, but if he needs defensive sheltering I would make the argument that he’s not ready for the NHL anyway.

Given that we’re likely to start with 8D, I think Brooks might have called it with a 4th line of Vesey/Andersson/Fast, with Chytil/Andersson getting significant special teams minutes and Zib and Hayes pulling some extra 5on5.
