We can`t afford Turris contract without moving Nash or Henrik - he will ask for 6 + mil $ when is UFA next summer.

yeah true, not sure what is going to happen with Nash. We don`t have any Nash replacement yet, because Gorton drafted *2 centers this summer. We need a high pick winger in a sniper role next summer 2018 draft.

I’m not solidly for Turris, but could fit his contract (3.5 mil) this season without moving either Nash or Hank. Next season, his hit will still probably be less than what Nash’s is now. Re-signing our RFAs is another story, but we also could be moving/buying out Staal.

hehe, what`s is`t with New York to not use natural center players in a center position, and push natural centers out on the wing? :)

It really doesn’t take a lot to replace what Nash currently brings us. We already have Buch and Kreids. In the hypo of acquiring Turris, necessarily Miller and/or Hayes are also playing W. That, with Zucc and Vesey, we’re all set on top nine wings

Zibby would be a poor mans OVI on the LW. They're using him on the PP like that, and I hope that stays.

But all that said, I don't have the tolerance level for the level of incompetence that's been on display.

Going to give this squad 15 games before focusing my hockey time on a winning product.

I don't know about y'all but my time is too valuable to spend on a bunch of losers. Especially when McJesus provides far more entertain value.

That's a guy that competes.

AV needs to switch to a zone d. We have the dman to execute the types of passes needed to spring a quick counter attack/ breakout scheme. It will also insulate Hank and Pavs.

It's not just the dman struggling to keep up in the man to man, it's also the forwards. So instead of being stubborn and trying to fight our way through it, maybe we should finally adapt to the roster we have.

Brooks complaining about Eichel getting that contract is pure stupidity. You don’t dick around with your franchise cornerstone. Did he already forget how bad they were last year when Eichel went down? Then he justifies it by using the Kucherov contract because Yzerman had awful contracts on the books and no cap space. Just pitiful writing, and I like Brooks. Guess he’s gonna hate Skjei’s contract too when we give him 7 years and $40M

If Buffalo didn't give him that contract Brooks would have ripped Buffalo as well. Just Brooks being Brooks.

For someone who is getting paid to write about hockey, he sure seems to be unfamiliar with the details in the league.

Crosby's cap-hit on his 2nd contract was 17.5%
Eichel's is 13.3%

I want one of Turris or Duchene, and I am willing to package Hayes with Holden+

Turris is a free agent at the end of the year, if we move Hayes we still have a hole at C, If we like Turris and the price is right we could have him for free. Moving Hayes for him seems like bad asset management. If we are a bubble team or non playoff contender, sell Nash, sell Holden, sell grabner at the deadline. In the offseason hope we draft high, make some moves still, Vegas has 40 million to 13 players and you gotta think some of the ELC's make their way into roster spots next year. They may need to add salary, Can we use Hayes's rights as a bargaining chip for Vegas to take Staal? Can we sign Turris for nothing? Will Andersson be ready for a 3C role?

Cracknell on waivers today. He'd be an ok 13th forward as a grit option.

Every time his name comes up, this is what I think of:
