Quick video scouting appears to skate like Tarasenko and be built similarly.

In fairness, they could trade for Chychrun and move Gustafsson to the right side or trade Lindgren in another deal...
Yea idk wtf that journalist guy on Twitter was talking about referring to him as speedy. He is slow as molasses, perfect fit for the team

God dammit.

Make it Lindgren and you have a deal.
Gus can play on his offside. Seriously, another team’s fan comes over with an almost tailor made trade proposal for the Rangers (capable LD on a cheap for 2 playoff runs and getting rid of Goodrow contract without buyout or retention) and you still balk?

For all we know it could've been Ottawa's new GM's burner account & we just completely ruined the deal.

I guess. I just don't want there to be any chance of sitting Gus.

Theres something there if you take on Lindgren or Miller instead of Schneider

We need a RD, we have high end/quality lefties coming out our ears with Chabot Chychrun Sanderson and Kleven.

I like Lindgren but it’s just a non starter since we simply cannot take back a LD.
If that were the case we’d just keep Chychrun/Chabot but one seems likely to go to balance the D properly.

1. speaking for myself only, pls feel welcome to stop by and bounce something off us.

2. Sens have cap issues [not critical, most teams are tight] but I understand you have probs fielding a team due to cap. Also gonna cough up a 1st over next 3 yrs due to something or other.

3. I get wanting to move a vet for youth.
We can't do that anymore. That level of win now stupidity has left us where we are.

4. This does not mean vets for vets or youth for youth must be off the table. But not vets for youth.

5. What Rs really need, and believe it or not is good for sens if it is enuf profit on the table, is for NY to overpay within reason, LaF + Perreault + for Sanderson +.
Rs need to stabilize roster and locking into prime Sandy for 8 yrs is worth overpay. Again, currency involved has to also work for OTT, but I believe that can be done.

6. Chychrun is good, some ask if he is not a tad fragile. Plays both sides. But he is ufa after next season, gonna command $$, we are gonna need that, so he is not a long term fit.
It is conceivable there is a scenario where other things fall into place and currency acceptable to NY can obtain Chych, and he then can be flipped as a rental next season.
But that is a separate and dif animal.

7. Schneider is off the table. We have no RD depth, and we may need to flip Trouba, prob to DET when his nmc->ntc, to move most of his 8m cap hit. So any other discussion pt put on the shelf, we can't afford to swap him out.

8. KAM is off the table.

9. Lindgren is on the table, but for reasons you cite, I don't see OTT as a match. See Lindy + Jones to DET for Rasmussen + 2nd

10, While I've got you, do you have interest in Wheeler/Vesey? Type of cheap but useful depth which would allow Rs to promote youth.

best,

bernmeister

Funny that you mentioned that. Last year there was a poster with not many post on the Hartford board asking about the play of Nils Lundkvist’s and a week or so later Nils got traded to Dallas.
