absolutely agree if Leetch can be traded as MVP of SC so can 20. It may wake up 93. Unless there is a big overpayment you keep 8. We need young talent full stop. Bread's amazing start has been fools gold...any team with size, patience and good coaching will beat us in a 7 game series.Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba. Their NMC's expire this summer. 15 team no trade list for both players. Three more seasons for Kreider. Two more seasons for Trouba. Which player would you trade?
I would trade Kreider. I know he is a home-grown Ranger. Goal scoring record. Open up a LW spot in the top 6. Panarin isn't going anywhere for the next two seasons.
Trouba is the only Ranger who likes to play a physical game. The Rangers are already a soft team.
The Rangers are stale. Drury needs to make major moves reshaping the team. Summer time moves.
He’s a middle 6 defensive forward. He’s a bigger version of fast, who everyone cries that we let go. He might eventually find his offensive gear a little later in his career and he has occasionally made some moves to flash, but I definitely am seeing that he’s still a bit too passive and slow on his release to get clean shots off now.Kakko is not a top-6 F. Sorry. He's not.
Brodzinski and Goodrow are not NHL regulars.
Yeah, but the real question is will he be interested in moving? After this season and after Zibanejad's signing bonus is paid, he will have 6 years left on his deal with a TOTAL salary owed to him of $39.5m. That's an average salary of $6.58m per year for 6 years. The NMC is in place, yes, players have waived their NMC's in the past. There are A LOT of teams who I am sure would be interested in Zibanejad at $8.5m cap but with an actual salary owed of ~$2m less per season.
Unless we can convince MEEka to waive his NMC and somehow get a top-6 center in return, trading Kreider will have to be the move.Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba. I think the move is to go into a rebuild so most of the NMC get waived.Unless we can convince MEEka to waive his NMC and somehow get a top-6 center in return, trading Kreider will have to be the move.
Only real idea I have is selling 93 on SoCal, warm weather, solid local DJs to learn from. Trade him to the Ducks for Zegras, and pray that Zegras can play center.
I would trade Trouba because he’s terrible and eating up 8M in cap space.Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba. Their NMC's expire this summer. 15 team no trade list for both players. Three more seasons for Kreider. Two more seasons for Trouba. Which player would you trade?

Again, people are not trading Kreider because "look, this stinks, let's just change course entirely." That I could be convinced of.I would trade Trouba because he’s terrible and eating up 8M in cap space.
Yep, there is no reason to trade Kreider unless something amazing is coming back the other way. Like part of a package for McDavid.Again, people are not trading Kreider because "look, this stinks, let's just change course entirely." That I could be convinced of.
They're trading Kreider thinking it makes the team better and that's absolutely hilarious.

I don't think there is any way he waives unless the team is doing a legit, non-half-ass rebuild.I trade Kreider because I think it's the only way Mika waives.
keep mika away from panarin - we need chytil back badlyI wouldn't trade kreider, but i would split him from Zibanejad. He works harder when he isn't playing with him, not sure if it's him trying to get back on his line or if he just lets Zibs do all the skating but he plays a better game with Trochek. I'd call up Rempe, i mean with Bonino and Pitlick what are we clinging to? Rempe is younger, bigger and will actually hit someone.
Next game should be
Kreider Trochek Kakko
Panarin Zibanejad Lafreniere
Cuylle Brodzinski Wheeler
Vesey Goodrow Rempe
Could WiFi be an option outta Montreal? I’m not trying to spell his name. I know he’s been in the minors, too shitty?
If you're going to keep KK, bury him on the 3rd line, where he can do his fancy stat stuff that says he's pretty good.Kakko is not a top-6 F. Sorry. He's not.

Don't know what voodoo its
going to get a top 6 RW with the Rangers having 11 bucks to spend at the deadline.
love these lines - ideally wheeler is replaced with a high energy bangerThey need to find a way to get rid of Goodrow's contract, hopefully to bring back Tarasenko at 50% retention and center depth (I want Ridly Greig but his stock keeps rising), even if it means moving a prospect in Hartford like Berard or Edstrom (but not Othmann) and a pick to do it (which is certainly will).
Tarasenko gives them someone who can beat a goalie clean from the circle without needing a screen, a royal road pass, a rebound, or a deflection.
If they're able to bring him back, I also stick Lafreniere with him for 30 minutes before or after practice just to work on shooting.
There is absolutely a need for a 200 foot player who can absolutely snipe, even if he's lost a step, on this roster.
