I don't know how much longer I can watch Brod, Bonino, Goodrow and Pitlick play.
Hopefully come playoff time, Chytil, Kakko and a deadline acquisition will be in the lineup, meaning only one of those four will be playing.I don't know how much longer I can watch Brod, Bonino, Goodrow and Pitlick play.
Yeah I would say that right now Brodz and Bonino can not be counted on for any type of productivity 5 on 5. They probably aren't even NHL level 4th liners right now. That third line is a real concern right now. I like Cuylle, but after that they’re essentially playing 2 fourth lines.

Should be but the coach likes Bonino too much. Unless something is legit bothering Bonino to give him a few games off?Cuylle is fighting for his life on that line. Edstrom should be up tomorrow

I did not want to call any of them up, but the team needs younger legs. Call up Edstrom and Othmann tomorrow. Send down Brod. Pitlick 13th forward.
Kreider-Z-Othmann
Panarin-Tro-Laf
Cuylle-Ed-Wheeler
Goodrow-Bonino-Vesey
We need some more heart and moxie. As well as speed. Youth brings that. Wheeler just isn't fast enough for Kreider and Z. Othmann can at least move.
I don't give a f*** about this being a 1st place team. They won't be for much longer.
Goodrow and Bonino should sit. Play Edstrom and Othmann with Cuylle.
Let’s take yesterday into consideration. After all, it happened. Pitlick and Brod outplayed them.Pitlick and Brodzinski* should sit. They do literally nothing. At least the other 2 are elite PKers (yesterday notwithstanding)

A few shit games sprinkled into an excellent season isn't getting me into meltdown mode, but this team scares NOBODY 5v5.
I've had enough of Johnny B and Tyler.
Pitilick though is part of a solid 4th line defensively, so I don't see him sitting soon. RW needs an upgrade. Thought Wheeler looked especially old tonite.
I think the whole Ranger megaverse knew the game was over after that 3rd goal clown show.
Rod knew too. Big smile on the bench.
Oh, and Adam Fox looks off to me.
I remember being at the game Edstrom played. His line was great and that's with Brodzinski on it.
The Rangers took one look at that line getting sustained offensive zone time and were like "can't have that."
If, as others have, you insist on Bonino because he kills penalties, then just take Pitlick out.
Besides staying good at fear of being great, taking Trocheck off Panarin, (especially now without Chytil), means that Zibanejad would have to go there. When Kreider and Trocheck are on the ice together 5v5, the Rangers have scored 23 goals and conceded 8.
Now, it must be said, Kreider and Zibanejad are a great combo. Still are, probably always will be until they turn blue and drop over.
But man, that feels like one of those things where what we have is good so we won't try something that's better.
I understand the point about penalty killing, but is it at all possible we can get some good penalty killers who are NHL players at even strength?Barclay Goodrow and Filip Chytil have the same amount of shots on goal this season.
Panarin and Zibanejad has not been a great duo but Panarin and Trocheck are an awful duo and I feel like the only person in the world who's noticed.Besides staying good at fear of being great, taking Trocheck off Panarin, (especially now without Chytil), means that Zibanejad would have to go there.
Panarin and Zibanejad has not been a great duo. And at that point do Trocheck or Panarin get to keep Lafreniere? Panarin Zibanejad Lafreniere could be real dicey
