I'd wonder about Seattle doing a package deal for Gourde and Eberle (50% retention on him) with us offloading Goodrow in the deal.

I'd easily give up 2025 1st, 2024 second and Jones/Robertson for that.

Kreider Zibanejad Eberle
Panarin Trocheck Lafreniere
Cuylle Gourde Kakko
Vesey Brodzinski Edstrom/Rempe
no
stop w/rentals

Does anybody else lie awake at night and worry that we're all just a figment of bern's imagination?
bern is a servant of God, not God
Fear not that I challenge everyone to think

I thought Kreider and Mika played engaged all night . When they warned Kreider for a FO violation it was like something went off......he was angry all night and he is a much better player at 5 on 5 when he is angry !

When Kreider plays with that physical edge....the whole team is better and you can bet the opposition bench also sees it which is why they never attempt to waken him . We had the linesman to thank for it last night .

I love the physical stuff....but I doubt Rempe will see much or any playoff action but I don't mind seeing him in reg season games .

Yeah. No problem with moving Buch. We didn’t get a good return but - also - the guy we got had his leg torn up by a cheap shot artist. C’est la vie.
Blais was another bad target. He can’t even stick in the Blues thin lineup long after his leg fully healed. Plus those reports that Drury did not value Buch. Drury just is not great at player evaluation.

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek spent the first part of 32T discussing the Devils being pushed around by the Rangers.

Elliotte spent the entire episode speculating. Karlsson to Ottawa. Guentzel to Detroit. The Wings would try to sign the player.

The Kraken are trying to re-sign Eberle. Term is the issue. Term is always the issue. Tatar could be flipped. Again. Vince loves Tatar. Why? Wennberg. They mentioned Larry Brooks connecting the Rangers to Wennberg. Seattle is not moving Gourde. Francis has said no. The Seattle stuff is at the very end.

I mean you can not just put out a blanket statement like drury is not great at player evaluation when he drafts Perrault at 23, signs Gus and quick for basically nothing and has constructed a team that is one of the 5 best teams in the nhl

At this point, just get a depth piece.

I am actually fine with Brodz at 3c… lines are clicking and pieces are falling into place.

Dont see the need to disturb it. Maybe a 1rw but honestly Vesey has looked ok there.

Vesey has been fine. I do would not mind another vet on d and a vet forward that can play RW and center. Small moves are fine. I wonder if someone like Jason Zucker can be had. He plays an energetic game.

I would not mind McBain, Zucker from Coyotes for center and RW depth. Zucker has played in the east. I think Vatrano will cost way too much and makes no sense to trade more for a player that they let walk. I would want a defensive dman that can play physical clear the crease that can skate. Does not need to be a point producer. Good defensively

How could you possibly know all this?

If the Rangers were to trade away a 1st then it must be for a player who is added to the core beyond this playoff run (and IMO it should be at least two more seasons after this).
The Rangers have a slew of multiple cheap depth forwards coming up while they’re are pretty barren on D and potential spots opening up on both sides.
The point is if we were to throw a 1st into a trade - it’s got to be for someone to be added to core D.

Anyone care to give a read on 21 year old, former high 2nd round L.A. RW Arthur Kaliyev?
Watching Frank Seravalli’s show and it was mentioned that Rob Blake doesn’t want to waive him and lose him for nothing.
He hasn’t fit in with the Kings. RFA on an expiring contract making $895K.
Blake and Drury do have a friendship.

The most annoying thing from the 9-game win streak? Didn’t create any separation from the damn Canes.

Otherwise, those who say that 8 playoff spots in the East are already set are smoking something good. 3 spots are wide open. Pursuers have games in hand and are within 5-6 points with 25 or so games left.

People forget that part of why buch was traded was Kakko. The idea of paying buch and kind of blocking more opportunities for Kakko longer term was at play. They felt that Kakko would be able to come in and grab a significant role, and if buch were signed long term he would block opportunities. Kakko just never grabbed hold of those opportunities. 20/20, but obviously wish we got more in the deal. People forget that before Subban "subban'ed" blais he was becoming an impact player her with his physicality and his offense starting to show.

I’d offer Zac Jones and that is it really. Can Kaliyev skate and improve the speed? Not too familiar but he has talent. Could be a small bargain trade

Blais was impressive before he got hurt. Sadly Subban had to be a punk
