what's the deal with him? Why is he falling out of favor in LA?
his numbers look decent. His metrics are good.
Frank thinks Edmundson could be acquired for a 3rd or 4th round pick with salary retention. Edmundson played on the Blues Cup team in 2019. The Rangers should be interested.

Probably tunnel vision and low IQ. Maybe it's conditioning. He's been on their 4th line + 2nd PP unit for years.
They have every incentive to slot him up and he still plays 11 mins a night. Something's off there.

I'm not seeing much out there that wows me, I'd prefer to write our own story and use call ups like Othmann, Berard, Jones to plug gaps in the POs. We tried the starstruck approach last year so I want to try the "young, unknown PO hero" approach this year. None of it really matters though, we'll live and die with the stars that have gotten us here and if they show up or not. An Edmundson or Roslovic is not going to move the needle.
I think that’s how I’m looking at things also.
The other flip side is, this looks to be the weakest I’ve seen the east.

Rangers going to have too many wings very quickly. Kreider, Panarin, Cuylle, Vesey, Laf, Kakko, Othmann, Berard, Rempe, Edstrom. Plus whatever depth filler you add year over year.

I don't think you could convince Nashville to have their cake and eat it too going for a playoff spot by asking for Sissons or Novak. Trenin maybe.
The trade is fair . No need to add Rempe, Edstrom, Berard to it. McDonagh does not have the same value he used to be. Overpaid too.

The problem is we don't have much defensive depth. We need to bring in a spare with size. I like Jones, but if there's an injury, I don't want him playing every game in the playoffs.

I think Kaliyev would be a sneaky RW add for Mika and Kreider. Rangers should make low cost trades. We gave enough high picks.
