For the first time since Prust Boyle Dorsett were here we have a real gritty line in the bottom 6, its nice to have, teams are going to act differently to our forecheck from now on.

They probably move little guy Jones and get a big Dman in

I've imagined a lot of people with those two, most times it doesnt work, they are in love and only play with each other

I’d be intrigued by guentzel. He’s an excellent player that has tortured us for years. He will probably cost 2 firsts though. He’s one of the few older players I’d be ok acquiring

2 very cheap possibilities that intrigue me are Pat Maroon and Max Pacioretty. Maroon is out right now with a back injury but he should be back around the trade deadline. Perfect 12th/13th forward with some snarl. Max is an N.Y. area native and while he has not scored a lot this year, I understand his skating has been getting better. Both available for next to nothing (4th/5th draft pick or marginal prospect) and salary under 1MM. (Assuming Caps retain on Max)

Roslovic is the type of player I'd be interested in, young, needs a new start, plays center, could be a long term solution if Chytil isn't able to come back.

I think Kaliyev would be a sneaky RW add for Mika and Kreider. Rangers should make low cost trades. We gave enough high picks.

They don't need another shooter, we just did this with Vatrano and Tarasenko. Reilly Smith would be a good add if he's not cooked.

I agree albeit seems like many of the "experts" feel like he's a goner. I just don't get it. Crosby isn't getting younger and they are currently not far out from a playoff spot. I realize they are not legit cup contenders but how do you tell your best player we are pretty much gonna get worse for the remainder of your NHL career? They might as well try to get into the playoffs for one last time with Crosby/Malkin/Letang.

Drury had a challenge in the offseason to bring in some decent players with zero money and he did ok. Hopefully he gets creative and gives the team a bit more depth without losing a first or the top prospects in Hartford like Othmann/Berard/Sykora.

Smith is on the books for 5 million next year. Would be a good fit but don't think we should take on that 5 million next year.

Would be ok with a guy like Pacioretty if he you can get him for a 4th or 5th and other options have been erased or are too expensive.

This team is playing well. I am not banking on projects like Kaliyev. Would rather Pacioretty, Duclair, Tarasenko. Proven veterans.

We've done enough reclamation and buy low projects with Wheeler, Bonino, Patrick and by some extension Riley Nash.

Zadina doesn't add doesn't supplement the makeup of this roster.

Trust me, you don't wanna see it. Zadina is horrible. Always was. The player he was in D-1 is the player he is now. Never developed.
