New arena possibility? Slim. I’d give it 20-25%.What's your take on a new arena possibility? What chance do you give it percentage wise?
I've seen there's a North Scottsdale land plot for auction, but is this realistic at all?
Way more knowledgeable than you. This Todd Walsh, oh boy

Is there any chance the state can rig the auction & limit what can be built on the land? For example limit the bidders to ones who want to build an entertainment district or something to that effect?New arena possibility? Slim. I’d give it 20-25%.
Here's the problem. The piece of land the Coyotes have identified is owned by the state land trust. It cannot be outright sold, it has to be auctioned. 100 acres of prime land, adjacent to one of the busiest freeways in Arizona is prime, prime real estate. There will be plenty of bidders. It is near one of the most popular shopping areas in the state. The Coyotes can certainly bid on the land and may win but it will not be a lay down. The auction will likely take up to a year to happen and if the Coyotes do get title to the land, it will take at least a year to put in infrastructure and another 2-3 years to build the arena. The NHLPA is unlikely to stand for that timeline..

No. State land issues are very visible and very public. The state has a lot of land but they are very protective and high value land is very coveted. Is there any chance the state can rig the auction & limit what can be built on the land? You raaang?Amazing what a winning streak through all of February (Knock Knock) will do for the sanity and mood of this thread. After tonight only 5 games left until TDL. Let the panic and madness now officially begin. Let the loonies loose!
I mean sure, but I'm using very similar sample sizes for the guys we are looking to acquire and if anything, their most recent performance would be weighted highly to determine what effect they would have for the remainder of this year.
We can argue and debate the merits of the edges of these number but the overarching point remains. What player, on that list, is worth the price tag rumored and who will provide the necessary upgrade worthy of that price compared to Brodzinski?
If the price is minimal, he's a good option.
My point on all of this is that it's not worth it for Drurty to go out and trade high end pieces for any of these guys. If someone is available for a reasonable price, like 4th + Henriksson, by all means, add to the depth of the team and push Goodrow to wing. But trading a 1st, or 2nd for Henrique? Hell no.

Interesting condition. If Bemstrom scores 6 goals the rest of the season the 6th turns to a 3rd.

Old though, likely wouldn't make it to the end of 4 rounds. I'd prefer someone younger. You see how much better we are since Kakko, Edstrom, Rempe replaced Bonino, Pitlick and Wheeler. Its young legs, even if Rempe hasn't really played much, he's added some spark. Can DET stop winning. Kane would legitimately be an option. Affordable contract. RW. Producing.
According to latest 32 Thoughts article, there's speculation Blues will want a bundle for Buch -- starting with two firsts.
PASS.
I would take my chances. Like you said, there is plenty of speed throughout the rest of the lineup now that we swapped out a lot of the older vets in what was really the bottom 6. Not every guy in your lineup needs to be a speed demon buzzing around every single shift. You cant replicate the offensive talent, the hands, the vision, and the high hockey IQ that he brings. He is silencing all the doubters because he is a competitor. I would bank on that continuing.Old though, likely wouldn't make it to the end of 4 rounds. I'd prefer someone younger. I dont think they can afford his salary even at 50% retained, which would cost quite a bit of assets to have NSH hold that retention spot for the next 2 years after this one. And I thought I have read he has been having a down year, i mean he is getting older and has a ton of miles on his body.be honest. if Ryan McDonagh wanted to come here and finish out his career with us, would you do it? my heart says yes, but my brain says probably not

Something something deck chairs…..A trade that won’t help either team.
Jack Roslovic: The Blue Jackets may need to eat a portion of Roslovic’s remaining salary, and he may fetch only a fourth- or fifth-round pick. But with Roslovic as a pending UFA, and so many top-nine worthy forwards, his time in Columbus has likely come to an end. The likely destination is a club looking for an offensive burst on the wing for a middle-six role. The Jackets are currently skating him on the top line, perhaps a showcasing.
Move the team to Utah. The Smith's will be good owners. Arizona is a very good market. The NHL should consider giving Arizona an expansion team if they can get the new building built. Find a good owner. Does Ishbia want to own a hockey team?New arena possibility? Slim. I’d give it 20-25%.

Detroit is making the playoffs. The same eight teams in the playoff spots right now will be the same eight teams at the end of the regular season. Seravalli made that point on his podcasts. That's the smartest thing Frank has said in years. Can DET stop winning. Kane would legitimately be an option. Affordable contract. RW. Producing.
Emily Kaplan mentioned the Rangers like Roslovic.
Blue Jackets trade tiers: Which players might be dealt, and who is untouchable?
The Blue Jackets should be sellers, yet most expect them to be relatively quiet before the March 8 trade deadline passes.theathletic.com
$4M cap hit. Columbus has all three retention slots.
Apparently, Kuraly will be more expensive to acquire than Roslovic.Yea at 2 million and a mid round pick Roslovic is a good depth add
Is Kurlay worth 2.5 next year to be the 4th line C between Goodrow and Vesey ?
He shouldn’t cost much either
