Can you give it a rest with this crap? They’re not calling up a young prospect every time. Especially if they’re just an insurance 13th forward paper transaction. If you want to keep solid vets in Hartford to insulate the youth, this is the type of stuff you have to do to attract those guys.

There's no limit based on 1-way or 2-way, and there's no roster limits in the AHL. The only limit is based on professional games played. IIRC, it's 5 players who have played 320+ games as of the start of the season and 1 player who has played less than 320 but at least 160.

The Goodrow Situation needs to be dealt with soon. Imagine this team with ~3 mil more to play with? I feel like he is moveable in a bigger deal if they pay down a small portion of the contract. NTC complicates things but it’s not impossible. Drury obviously wants to go young. Goody not getting the same ice he got under Gallant. I’m speaking it into existence.

I don’t think baring something insane being offered or an ask out, you don’t see teams moving any guy with a letter mid season.
I think Goodrow is an after the season move.

Even so, if management are looking at it clearly, Goodrow and Wheeler will be scratches by playoff time. Both spots in the lineup that can be clearly upgraded. Brodz & Gus have been good in their roles and I’m less concerned about 3C and 3rd pair D coming out of the break

Maybe the problem is Mika and Kreider together. Nobody on this roster seems to fit with them, banking on someone else coming in and fitting is almost fools gold.

I feel like this was in a stone tablet from the second that abomination of a deal was signed.

Honestly, if the cap didn’t flatline, Goodrows contract wouldn’t have been such an albatross. 3.6mil a year if the cap was 95m wouldn’t seem outrageous.
