Another option would be a 1-year deal for Kakko at a modest bump. That would give both the team and the player a bit more time to figure things out.Completely unrealistic number. Something much closer to the contract and the term that Chytil got would be a lot closer to where both the team and the player could agree on. I’m not a proponent but I think at this point Kakko would be looking for a change of scenery to restart his career and it would be on Drury to find a good deal. Your idea for him to be the principle in getting Hanifin with an extension. But the Rangers are already thin at RW this season so I don’t know if Calgary can accommodate us for this playoff run.
