Oddly enough, that was the only season of the 4+ Trouba has played here where he was not bad.

His playoffs were a mixed bag, but his RS was pretty good.

I thought he got off to a really good start this year as well. I think his game has fallen off as Miller's has.

I mean, yeah, we literally don't beat Pittsburgh without Trouba because he gave Sidney Crosby a concussion. That's not a repeatable skill.

We wouldve made it to the finals if Gallant moved him off PP2.

It was 0-0 with Carolina on a 2 on 1 when that penalty was called against them for too many men. Someone jumped on the ice before Jarvis crawled back to the bench.

They were up 1-0 and it was a 3 on 3 (would have been a 3 on 2 but as you said someone jumped on the ice early)

I remember it really well as I rewatched the game several times after it aired, he set up Kakko for a pretty decent chance before the play got whistled down.

Still having bad bad flashbacks of him turning the puck over at the blueline and either committing a penalty or seeing the opposing defender take the puck the other way.
Yet here we are with Trouba seeing pp2 time again this year.

I knew that series was over when Reaves got burned by Maroon in a footrace and scored the first goal of game 4 like 5 minutes in.
Well if Mr. Strome converts that empty net chance on a beautiful passing play from Panarin/Copp....nevermind.

It's telling that no coach is willing to play Miller on the PP without another defenseman.

Trouba directly contributed to a backbreaking shorty in all 3 series that year. Rodrigues go ahead goal in G7 against PIT. Trocheck shorty in game 2 in Carolina which was the game winner I believe. Then the one we all remember against TB. Thats coaching not knowing the strengths and weaknesses of their players.

Another poor lineup decision. Gallant deferred to an injury compromised Strome because he wanted to be the hero. He was a complete zero that entire playoffs.

If we're going to reminisce on Trouba f*** ups 2022 playoffs nothing was worse than when they were up 2-0 in gm3, he inexplicably drops his stick on a rush chance and proceeds to take a holding penalty.

The call was borderline, but I still don't know how the f*** he dropped his stick.

If they win that game, they get by Tampa. Rangers were physically beat up but so were they, that team had gone through a ton of wars and I don't think they would have had the mental fortitude to mound a comeback, that shit is hard and at a certain point you're just like "f*** it, we've done enough."

We definitely had the Lightning on the ropes. The Rangers took their foot off the gas after they went up 2-0 in G3. They have done that way too much for a team that pays lip service to having the goal of winning the Stanley Cup.

That was Chytil.

the shorty in game 2 was off of a Panarin turnover, Trouba wasn't even out there.

What do you have a photographic memory or something?

Trouba gave Chytil a suicide pass right inside the blue line right before Chytil turned it over. That started the chaos

For all the angst over Blake Wheelchair, Capfriendly just posted that he has the best value over 35 contract in the league on a per point basis. I think he is heating up and starting to look more comfortable recently. The calls to waive him are an overreaction imo.

For those intrigued by Scott Laughton

I'll give you credit as you are nothing if not consistent.

They dropped a 6 piece on Carolina in that game. Something tells me that Jarvis wouldn't have made up the difference.
LOL...you are anonymous.....and just as "nothing " as everyone else in here in case you thought otherwise . Anyways...I won't get into your lack of personality and or lack of respect for a fellow poster that is a mods job @Leonardo87 as I would prefer to stick with hockey !!!

As far as the Cane game.....after that hit on Jarvis....it was over ! Think otherwise if you want ...no big deal. You would certainly be in the minority .

If there is any chance he can play at 75 percent of his 2023 playoffs vs the cup champs in the playoffs I would take it no hesitation.

The problem with Wheeler is that he’s slow af and doesn’t really provide what we are missing.

I don’t really care if 35 points for league minimum is “good value”.

He’s redundant.

I think he has good size and can pass the puck better than a lot of guys on the team currently. And he is probably at his last chance to win a Cup, so I expect a highly motivated player. It takes a while to get acclimated to a new team in a new market after being the captain somewhere else for 10 years.

It wasn’t an insult man. It’s just saying that you are consistent lol.

Relax.

Foot speed is overrated in the playoffs and Wheeler is a good passer on a team that has maybe 3-4 guys who can complete more than a 5 foot pass. He has had chemistry with Cuylle and wouldnt mind seeing them together again with an NHL caliber center.
