His teammates hated playing with him, and even EP said he didn’t want him on his line because he’s all over the ice. He’s a flashy, bad systems player that will always be chasing that first year.

Brzustewicz is another one of those small dmen that will light up juniors and get overrated. He’s not like Zelleweger who has the crazy lower body strength and insane agility to just avoid the contact. I’ll bet this gets looked back on as a meh return all-in-all.

Also, stop the Kakko thing. I get it that you’ve made up your mind in him, but don’t push false things like him coming into camp out of shape and Drury actively shopping him. I’d trade him too for the right deal, but let’s at least be honest about it

You think I made up the kakko being shopped thing? Buddy it’s been all over the news today

And he did show up out of shape are you kidding me. He was slow he was pushed around like never before got thrown off pucks like a rag doll and he did absolutely nothing for 20 games until he sure enough got thrown down and got hurt. He has in every interview since talked about spending a lot of time having to work out. This isn’t rocket science I’m not Sherlock Holmes.

You make it sound like he's been scratched for a large portion of games so far. He's played in 43 of 49 games. I believe a couple of those weren't healthy Scratches.

I know he shot 27% last year, even half that and he's a 20 goal/50pt player last season.

He will get all the playing time in Calgary in top 6 minutes. He still has value.

Good. I am glad Drury didnt get pressured into making a deal. Its February 1st tomorrow. There is still plenty of time.
 
Occams razor here is if Kuzmenko had value he would have been traded for futures because you can package those anytime to anyone.

The fact is at his salary cap number no one wanted him, except in a cap for cap deal, which is what just happened.

I'm sure we had some interest because he is a center but Brooks had us possibly trading a first, Cuylle or Othmann for him. I say that was nonsense.
 
I think that unless it's a very good player with term the Rangers don't trade any of their top 5 young assets, however you'd define that.

All Drury has done is add Gritty McGritt battle level guys and the team overall still lacks battle level.

He has eyes. He knows what's up.

Rangers had 2 Reps in Detroit tonight for the DET/OTT matchup.

Pinto won it in OT. There are a plethora of players on Ottawa’s side to consider. Not too interested in anyone from Detroit outside of Kane (who is obviously out) for the fact that he has a cheaper contract but you would have to see how he looks in his return & he would have to be available on the cheap. I like the idea of Pinto and Tarasenko in a package. Pinto helps past this year. Tarasenko maybe extends after the season at a team friendly deal to avoid another nomad 1 year deal

That might be a tough push for them. He got hurt right after the big extension and hasn't looked the same since.

Is there some kinda drama between Pinto and the Sens? I know the bogus gambling shit happened but he was unsigned for a while even before that happened.

Other than that, there really is no reason for them to let him go. They're barely paying him anything right now.
 
I don't think Tarasenko is really on the radar. We already did that, it didn't work out. There wasn't really much of an effort to bring him back during the summer which I think says a lot.

Chychrun makes sense as they had eyes on him last year. Its a risk but he's a good player.

Yup. I'd like to hope it means Drury walked away without making an absurd offer, but I kind of think he offered something absurd (1st and Kakko?) and it still got turned down. Either way, Brooks is plugged in and it's weird people think he's not
