Rangers social media during the rebuild.

Which is fine but Twitter experts don’t set the mandate for the team, and anyone with a pair of eyes knows the mandate has been to win since Drury cane to power. And despite the mostly valid complaints, we’ve won way more than we’ve lost. It’s getting over the hump that’s always the most difficult part and it’s where we currently find ourselves

In all my years on this board I don’t think I’ve seen more clamoring for the return of two former Rangers than Sean Avery and f***ing Frank Vatrano lmao
Avery was way way worse, in fairness.

There was a contingent here who found him literally irreplaceable.

The core group is good? The Rangers are keeping this group together forever? You guys make this group sound like the TB Lightning. The team still the same flaws. The team can't get to the net. They team can't defend in front of the net. Let's add more shiny new toys.

The Rangers better find a new way to free up cap space because they will have the same team.
The core group is good. We're just 2 players away from having a group like TB. Kucherov and Hedman 🤣

Wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. Don't forget Drury offered up Chytil in a package for JT Miller 2 years ago. Whether we like it or not Kakko is probably on the table

If Drury goes back to the well with Ryan Game 5 Empty Net Blunder Strome and the price to pay for that is KK I think this place is going to reach DEFCON 1

And if he brings Steve Rucchin out of retirement I'll lose my shit...

Noone (except 1 poster a few pages back as a joke) has mentioned Strome. Why start getting worked up about it?

The media is always a half step off of what the Rangers are actually looking at or doing. I believe the Flames and Rangers are talking. I doubt it's about Lindholm. I think the Rangers like Hanifin more since he can be extended long term.

As for center, I like Sturm and Hayes. Both have term. Both are cheap. Makes more sense for the team this year and moving forward. Again, Lindholm isn't that good that we should trade more to get him for only 25 games.

Kakko might get traded, but I would think it would be in the summer. I think Othmann could take his spot pretty well, but probably not just yet. Would weaken the team for a cup run, and if a cup is the goal, you keep as much of the roster together unless you are upgrading that specific spot. Trading our good middle 6 RW for a good middle 6 center leaves us with the same hole as before. A good middle 6er short.

Lindgren is a different story. You trade him for Hanifin. Not Miller. Lindgren has regressed a bit and Hanafin is the exact same position, just better in every way.

The ability of this board to lose its collective mind over absolutely no real information never ceases to amuse.
Based on the last 10 pages it is fait accompli that we will be trading all our youth and picks for rental 3rd liners...
It's all speculation that none of us have control over. It's fun to play armchair GM, I guess.
