well, except the NYR are not shopping Kakko...
well, except the NYR are not shopping Kakko...
noI'm not giving you specific players. I don't know who that guys is, but there's always a guy, multiple guys, available at the deadline. As much as people want to hope and wish Drury convinces Trouba, Kreider, Zib and whoever else to waive this summer because they don't like them, it's not happening. They have another year or two to try and win. You're committed to a bunch of guys over 30, don't half ass it. Try to win. Move players that are disappointments and keep the ones producing. Right now, and I love him, Kakko is a disappointment. If he can get you a better player, either alone or part of a deal, do it. This is what, his fifth year? What are we holding on to?
I feel like that's when @Machinehead would have to 1up this by somethingWatch Drury do something wild to piss everyone off on here and bring back Strome. That way the team could have 2 bromances going.
I will literally shit in front of MSG and then pretend to bury it like a dog.
Battling on the walls down low and in traffic is not perimeter play. Going to the netfront, albeit WITHOUT the puck, is not perimeter play. Staying OUT of traffic, not going to the netfront, not battling, IS perimeter play.Yes, perimeter meaning he doesnt get pucks to dangerous areas with the puck on his stick or by passing the puck. He’s consistently below average at both of those things. But he does better at keeping puck possession on the walls. How is that not perimeter?
Especially if we did overpay for him... whatever anyone's definition of that is.It wouldn’t be Kakko for Zegras straight up so any debate there is really moot.
Zegras isn’t worth the price of acquisition. For all the flash and hype and EA sports covers, he isn’t that good. Dude is the American Mike Ribero minus the off ice shenanigans. I think people (specifically
Players) getting bent out of shape when he does some globetrotter shit need to calm down (if you don’t like it, stop him) but that kind of stuff doesn’t win games.
I’m not paying a premium for that and there’s a reason that he’s going to be moved soon from a team that doesn’t know what they are yet. He would get absolute fried if he played here by pretty much everyone (tuffness crowd, analytics crowd, the crowd that just wants to be angry about something.)
He’s not a winning player which explains why Jovo wants him.
nopeI have no interest in Zegras but the Kakko hive needs to admit defeat. It's over.
That is a first for each of those players stop. You’re telling me Anaheim isn’t trading vatrano or Henrique for kakko straight up? Yes they are. Kakko still holds value in this league he’s not kravtsovNo they wouldn't. They could be looking for a 1st for each of those players. Kakko is not worth a 1st, and retention costs more.
I have too. Is it too late to trade Laf for Zegras? You know what? I change my mind. I want to keep Kakko now.
Taking call/shopping, same thing. If people are calling about Fox he is hanging up and not taking calls on him.First, it's Dreger. Second "taking calls" is not shopping. Drury should take calls on any player. If people call him about Fox, is he shopping Fox?
The Ducks rumor is that they ARE shopping him. I refuse to believe that you don't know the difference. My experience with you on here is that you are no dummy.
Disagreed. One is passive, one is active.Taking call/shopping, same thing. If people are calling about Fox he is hanging up and not taking calls on him.

Listen. I've never said "develop the kids."
Disagreed. One is passive, one is active.
Drury shouldn't hang up till he hears the offer for Fox. But is Drury hanging up if someone calls about Kreider? No? Does that mean he's being shopped? If Drury doesn't immediately hang up on a call for any other player is that player being shopped? No.
There is a huge difference between listening to offers and shopping a player.
IMO NO player is untouchable, not even Fox... but that doesn't mean they are being shopped.
Where did Othmann's name enter this conversation?
Rangers social media during the rebuild.Whose mantra was that exactly? Isn’t brooks the one always talking about this core needing to win?
Obviously going for the dramatic.Brooks literally brought it up in his article I haven’t seen it anywhere else lol. Going senile
