Battling on the walls down low and in traffic is not perimeter play. Going to the netfront, albeit WITHOUT the puck, is not perimeter play. Staying OUT of traffic, not going to the netfront, not battling, IS perimeter play.

But whatever. We have our views and I don't see us changing. Guess it's a wait and see game. I'm hoping for the least damage to the team from moves. If Kakko gets moved for value, I won't complain. Of course value is in the eye of the beholder.

I’m not paying a premium for that and there’s a reason that he’s going to be moved soon from a team that doesn’t know what they are yet. He would get absolute fried if he played here by pretty much everyone (tuffness crowd, analytics crowd, the crowd that just wants to be angry about something.)

He’s not a winning player which explains why Jovo wants him.

Especially if we did overpay for him... whatever anyone's definition of that is.

That is a first for each of those players stop. You’re telling me Anaheim isn’t trading vatrano or Henrique for kakko straight up? Yes they are. Kakko still holds value in this league he’s not kravtsov

First, it's Dreger. Second "taking calls" is not shopping. Drury should take calls on any player. If people call him about Fox, is he shopping Fox?
The Ducks rumor is that they ARE shopping him. I refuse to believe that you don't know the difference. My experience with you on here is that you are no dummy.
 
If we trade Kakko for a rental, I may just stop watching.... I know he's been disappointing but it just doesn't sit right

Trade Kakko for a LHD
Trade Lindgren for a Winger that's not slow

Taking call/shopping, same thing. If people are calling about Fox he is hanging up and not taking calls on him.

Disagreed. One is passive, one is active.
Drury shouldn't hang up till he hears the offer for Fox. But is Drury hanging up if someone calls about Kreider? No? Does that mean he's being shopped? If Drury doesn't immediately hang up on a call for any other player is that player being shopped? No.
There is a huge difference between listening to offers and shopping a player.
IMO NO player is untouchable, not even Fox... but that doesn't mean they are being shopped.
 
I'm going to bow out of the Kakko and/or Zegras discussions. I just want to say that I appreciate that we all were able to vehemently disagree like rational adults. I'm not joking. It's all too rare these days.

We're arguing over how a general manager takes phones calls. I think we're too far gone.
