Yeah, you shut him down for the season. There are bigger things at stake here other than just hockey.

f***ing sucks in multiple ways. Of course it's a problem for the roster, but genuinely that should not the first thing in everybodys mind right now.

They're not really giving much detail but if this is a concussion setback, and it was non-contact, which it should be given what we know about the practice, he's likely done. At least for a long while.

It basically means he can't even move. Sounds like a vestibular issue. A similar ailment caused Bryce Salvador to miss an entire season

I'm speculating but this is an interesting read nonetheless:

Oh I thought it was leg/lower body related. Chytil might be done. Like done done. Hope he is ok.

chytl is done sadly prob for his career which sucks for him. Also means our season is over. It’s time to blow this team up. Trade emo zibs, trouba, lindy and let’s get some picks and young players who want to play the right way. I’m so sick of this old guard.

We have more "success" with older washed up players than we do with drafted youth.

Let that sink in.

Well it's time to figure out what the plan is now that we can't count on Chytil for the rest of this season. Need a center with speed.
They should have had a plan all along. These things are so tricky and quite honestly not a slam dunk that those impacted will ever be the same or even play in another game. Does Michael Sauer ring a bell for anyone. There always should have been a Plan B. Some people on this Board were convinced FC coming back was going to be a massive upgrade failing to consider the impact such an injury could have. This sucks for FC and his absolute health should be the only consideration. If he is not shut down for the season other people should have their heads examined with no pun intended.

A non-contact head injury is no bueno. He's done for the year for sure but this also puts the organization in a bad spot in general. They lack depth at center organizationally and now, with limited draft picks, that is going to shed a very bright light on that moving forward.

Never heard of such a thing...if this is what is happening to Filip there is hope

The report yesterday was that Chytil hadnt had any symptoms since November. I dont think anyone couldve expected this, especially when he practiced with the team and had no issues less than 24 hours ago

who cares about the organization or lack of centers

Shut him down for the season, use his money & bring someone in.
I have no faith in this group. I don’t believe by bringing in anyone or two individuals will drive this team trough the playoffs.
I agree that Chytil should be shut down for the season and what ever cap room of his 4.3 million is available should be used by Drury to be the intermediary to facilitate other clubs in making trades.
Get prospects and or picks.
