My dad doesn't like Zooks. Zooks isn't really the issue. A poster can hate Zooks all they want but they should show at least a minimal amount of respect to other posters. Calling a poster stupid is not a good way to go.

I have had disagreements with Silverfish, Kreiderman, etc but we didn't call each other stupid. We all just realized I was right in a respectful manner and moved on. :D

With that said I have gone out of line on occasion and I have apologized. :)

Better than most Nicky

Always appreciate our conversations, NF. You are generally far more cordial than I am in them, and I want you to know I appreciate your patience.

LOL usually I would make a joke but I do not know what to say here. :D

Respect is usually a two way street so thank you very much. We actually agree on more than we disagree on. There are really only about 5 things we disagree on. I enjoy our discussions. :)

Looking towards next off-season, I wonder what both Sedin's would take on a 1-2 year deal with the Rangers. Henrik would make a nice stop-gap for a year or two if he would take a $4-$4.5m deal.

Does Vancouver have even an outside shot of getting in there? If i were them, i'd make the move now. Not sure how long i'd want them on the team though, especially given my expectation that LIas is a C for the team at next year latest. but Henrik this year would be awesome.

Some posters have said the Sedin's have slowed down a lot. Do they have much left in their tanks? Would it be possible to get one without the other?

Sedin will cost way more than hes worth, they're not going to sell the face of the franchise for cheap.

I think they can be 50-55 point guys for the next few years. The entire Vancouver team looked horrible last year

Henrik had a down year for points (50) but he played 82 games and without googling it i cant even think of a winger on that team other than Daniel, Baertschi and Loui Eriksson

So, anything he'd get here would be an improvement.

If our top three centers all were between 50 and 65 points, we'd be sitting nice given the upgrades we made on the back end.

I think the other thing they may benefit from is not being 'the guys' in NY. If they were to settle in and be 50-55 point 2nd liners, that's a nice addition

Do we need to take both? That is like 14 mill in cap room.

could not have said it better myself. Not to mention, we're pretty young on offense. The experience would be a positive, too.

I think it's pretty obvious that RB (and he's not alone) wants Zuccarello to be traded if it brings back someone that can help the team for the next 7-10 years rather than re-signing him at 32 with who knows how many good years left.

Zuccarello is a popular player, but there's no reason not to consider moving him. He had the best value in a trade of any of the forwards we have on the roster, save for MAYBE Kreider.

Agreed as well.

I love Zucc but we aren't (shouldn't) resigning him and we need to get something for him. Same w/Nash

We had a lot of roster turnover already and I'm fine waiting on both, but at some point before they walk for nothing we should be getting something.

Oh really? We're not?

Why is that?

I am secretly hoping that Ryan McDonagh becomes 10X better going forward without Dan Girardi even without the Shattenkirk boost if Shattenkirk is his partner. It's like the first 6 movies of Harry Potter. Even at like the 5th movie, Harry could only run from most of the bad things that came after him and avoid Voldemort as much as possible. Once in a while, he'll do something he didn't think he could do like cast patronus spells. We're basically at the 7th or 8th movie now and Harry can start gunning down serpents and Voldemort. I think the chances are higher than not that McDonagh and Shattenkirk end up on two separate pairings. Maybe McDonagh, Shattenkirk, and Skjei end up on three pairings :dunno: if Vigneault like "three solid pairings that can do a little bit of everything".

It's all context. For the right return I would trade Zuccarello. He is an excellent player who is more consistent and feisty than pretty much every forward on our team. I'd want something seriously good back for him if I were going to move him.

As for another contract (if we don't trade him)--he'll be 32 when his new one comes up. If he can maintain his level of play the next two years I would do 3 years at $5 to $5.5. 4 years at $4.5. He gets less annually if he wants an extra year and I wouldn't go over 4 years.

Difference between trading for Draisaitl and trading for Mackinnon is that Edm will take players that can contribute to a cup run right now, whereas Colorado wants exclusively futures and preferably defense.

Zucc and Kreider are of interest as main pieces for Edm, whereas for Col they likely are not.

Zucc + 2018 1st + 2019 1st for Draisaitl?

Skjei + 2018 1st + Graves/Day for Mackinnon?
