IMO at this point, Stastny is a must-sign

If you can get Stastny on a one year deal I'd be all over it.

If he wants two years, it gets a little trickier with the Miller and Lafreniere situation. But still possible, and still preferable to giving a 2C a 6-7 year term.

This is all okay but Stastny would probably go either 1x5 or 2 x 3.75 I'd estimate.

It's also not quite enough defensive depth- I'd lose either Raffl or Hornqvist, whichever you'd prefer, and replace them with a new 7D.

I was thinking about this as well. They would have Nemeth and Tinordi in Hartford, on top of Robertson and maybe Lundkvist here to call up at any time.

I'd almost push for Stastny on a 2 year deal as long as it doesn't carry a NMC

Maybe this lowers what the Rangers offer for Kane, like when Nash forced his way here.

I dont want any part of this, this is a throwback deal and the same damn thing that has cursed the Leafs when they got Taveres. We trade Kakko for Kane, then realize that next year we need Kakko so then we have to either resign Kane or go find another Kakko neither option of which is that appealing. Can we please stop chasing guys past their primes.

I think Nemeth gets traded soon. Rather have Braun back at around the 1 million mark. He's more comfortable playing either side.

We don't need that much talent on our 4th line. Just get replacement level players.

Hunt, Brodzinski, and Motte were fine. It's when we choose to play Rooney and Reaves because they do stuff that the problems start.

I don't think he gets that much on a 1 year deal. No contending team can afford it and at this point of his career, you'd think he wants to win.

Rangers going to announce who got a QO anytime soon? Rick Dhaliwal mentioned Ronning didn't get his, so they've clearly submitted them already.

Not many of the eligible RFAs were worth keeping this year besides Gettinger and Kakko. I'm going to guess they submit QOs for Richards and Rueschoff at F and probably Hajek on D.

I don't want to avoid Kane because we have Sammy Blais.

I want to avoid Kane because I think he kind of sucks, couldn't point to the defensive zone on a diagram, and hasn't made enough of an effort to break a sweat since 2016.
