Heck no.I might be the outlier, but in a hypothetical trade for Dubois or any other similar center, if it came down to Chytil or Kakko, I think I'd rather move Kakko.

If prefer Dubois at 8M to Copp at 5.25 and Chytil at 2.3M (and more soon).all depends on the cost of Copp. If it's for 5.25 or less that is the option you have to go with.PLD is gonna want 8 million plus.
That's not bad, but he would never sign that.I think I saw someone on twitter saying that evolving hockey had the next PDL contract at 4-5 years at ~6AAV.
I see where you're coming from but depends which Chytil we are getting. I understand how many still feel he is more of the regular season Fil than the postseason Fil. Also you are forgetting the assets you are going to have to give up for PLD. He is gonna cost you more than just Fil. Probably add two more valuable assets like a RHD (we would be lucky if that take Nils over Schneider) and at least another first rounder gone.If prefer Dubois at 8M to Copp at 5.25 and Chytil at 2.3M (and more soon).
Yeah In florida maybe lol. New York or Canada? add another million or 2 million I would imagineI think I saw someone on twitter saying that evolving hockey had the next PDL contract at 4-5 years at ~6AAV.
The Ducks are at/below the Cap floor. They need contracts to get themselves through the next 2 years and ice a team that isn't all 21 year olds. Grant and Henrique are real possibilities for the Rangers. Henrique with retention helps both teams. Why does Anaheim trade a seemingly useful 4th liner on a cheap expiring deal for a worse, longer contract for a player that proved to be far less useful than the player they'd be trading?
He’s been in Columbus and Winnipeg which are awful places to live for a young person with money.PLD is a hugggge risk. The idea of moving someone like Kakko for that is nauseating. What makes anyone think he’s not going to pout his way off this team too?
From what I understand he's not pouting in WPG, he just wants to play in a bigger market. He seemed to play hard on the ice. Be curious to know if he was liked in the locker room there. That team went from a very tight team to a team with chemistry issues in a short time. I think Trouba leaving was a big part of it.He’s been in Columbus and Winnipeg which are awful places to live for a young person with money.
He’s not going to pout his way out if NY lol
It's not just the money but you would to move assets to get him and then pay him. Lundkvist + Chytil/Kakko is a lot to give up.If prefer Dubois at 8M to Copp at 5.25 and Chytil at 2.3M (and more soon).
Barron has 6 points in 32 NHL games and is about to turn 24. the 1st is the 30th pick. the 2nd is low too. Who were we getting here?
Yeah that would be a concern, but if you trade Chytil your center depth is rough as well and it's easier to find a cheap RW than it would be a center that can fill in. I think they both have similar upside at this point, and Fil has the ability to play in the middle which is an advantage. Just my feelings though and I understand why people would have different thoughts on this.I get what you're saying.
I disagree only because if we acquire PLD, RW becomes more of a need than center.

Pass on PLD. He is a head case.

Are you betting your franchise on that? He’s been in Columbus and Winnipeg which are awful places to live for a young person with money.

The only way a PLD move works is if the team KNOWS he will re-sign long term and with him being a RFA this off-season, that contract would need to be signed pretty much right away. It would be a sign and trade. Otherwise it makes NO SENSE
I want no part of himStrome’s medical condition will need to be known before free agency begins. That applies to all teams. If he needs/requires surgery, that throws everything up in the air.
