This is the way I'm headed. Load up the top 6 and deploy the kid line like the 2nd line even strength. Lord knows they're not getting much special teams time. KZP should play 20 minutes a night. They're your marquee guys on offense.

I just read a rumor on Twitter that after the game last night, Kravtsov took Trouba's onion rings from the team order. Trouba apparently always upgrades to rings from fries. Kravtsov forgot to reply to the group text with his order and just took random items off the food table...he swiped the onion rings before Trouba could get there, while Trouba was still in medical being evaluated for his UBI. They even had "8" written on the paper bag. Panarin convinced him to try to give them back, but Krav had already eaten half the order and Trouba refused to accept a half-eaten bag of onion rings.

Personally, I don't care about what message it sends to the rest of the team if VK actually makes the team, we already have Carpenter close to making it if not already a lock. Play him to start the year, and if he is as doody as we all think he is (notwithstanding Mr. EJ) then send him packing once and for all.

Either way I just want to know at this point, no preference.

If Hunt, Gauthier, Reaves, and Carpenter all make it, I just don't see how you can keep excusing the coach and GM.

Instead of breaking them up, how about playing them more?

I don't like the idea of breaking up your only good line. It's likely going to result in 3 lines that aren't very good.

Yeah, maybe Kreider-Zibanejad should be the third line. Oh, Kreider scored 28 even strength goals? Who cares if the line is owned all over the ice the rest of the time and is a net negative?

I assume he means the on-ice performance of most people has been uninspiring this camp, probably meaning both kids and seasoned vets. Maybe even implying a little lazy.

I think this indicates we should not be surprised if the team struggles or is sluggish out of the gate a little.

I will also note that Larry may be either senile or pushing an agenda, so.... take that for whatever THAT is worth.

But it's kind of concerning re: the head coach as well.
