Well at least we now know the Sarnia slur wasn't homophobic and Deangelo Sr. doesnt admit to using homophobic slurs every day.
I honestly don't think that any club in our division is a whole lot better than the Rangers if everybody came to play and left it all on the ice....how many games have we had like that this season ? When you get 3-5 guys every game going through the motions. ..usually the same guys...but NOT always .....don't expect wins unless the PP is working or a goalie stood on his head . There are no easy games anymore .Quinn is a loser. He has a loser mentality. He gives too much respect to the opponents. I don’t care how good Boston is or how well coached and structured the Islanders are, your coach shouldn’t justify losing to them. He shouldn’t accept it and think it’s okay, even if the logic tracks, because that type of mindset trickles down to the players.
“Racist? I’m telling you, some of this stuff is just insane.”
Like that big hit Nick Ritchie put on K'Andre last night. Doesn't need to run him over but still blasts him. Kreider is just as big and much faster. He has opportunities to do that every single game, and like you said chooses not to. I agree about the reputation thing, dude is a gentleman and a scholarI think this is correct. Kreider seems like a legitimately good person, and I bet he really didn’t like being painted as a villain early in his career.
I’ve seen him lay off on so many opportunities to really physically damage someone in a legal way and he never follows thru. These plays always lead me to think that he’s laying off on purpose so as to not feed into that reputation.
Will be interesting to see him address this when his career is over.
the amount of people who desperately want to hate ADA is limited only by your imaginationUltimately TDA made his bed, but I'll repeat that I still believe a stronger room and a better coach and this shitshow doesn't happen. We lost an ultra talented, fiery player over bullshit. I couldn't care less about fake politics, people wanna hate that kid so badly.

No thanksTime for Brian Boyle

If he didn't get suspended every time he breathed hard on somebody as a kid, maybe he would still be blasting guys. Maybe, but really I am not sure the Rangers have ever developed a player with a true mean streak in the last 20-30 years.Like that big hit Nick Ritchie put on K'Andre last night. Doesn't need to run him over but still blasts him. Kreider is just as big and much faster. He has opportunities to do that every single game, and like you said chooses not to. Bc the organization said one more issue and you're gone and he did something so they kept to their word. If your boss tells you you have one more chance or your fired and you do something wrong but they don't fire you then they lose all credibility in the future as everything will appear to be empty threats. How would that lack of following through on your word reverberate down to all the other young kids in the organization? It would render direction from the organization to players as irrelevant and disciple out the window. He's incredibly talented but he was warned and he chose not to listen.According to that Brooks piece
DeAngelo is not any of that stuff or none of the stuff was that bad,
and
The Rangers did what they did and they were correct in doing so.
How does that work?
The Brooks article serves two purposes IMO:
1. It's a message to other teams around the league orchestrated by team and agent to make Tony look apologetic, contrite and to clear the air. Having quotes from Staal in there with his "guys in Detroit are real interested in him" makes that kind of clear.
2. It's a way to quote unquote "soften the blow" when they realize that he actually brings a lot on the ice that they desperately need right now and they give Tony "one more chance."

Question why he was on the last chance and figure that out is one thing, but IF he was notified of the last chance and still violated than there is nothing to debate. I mean even his agent hasn't fought against this, he's looking to help a move happen. If it was unjustified than his agent would be pulling an allan walshWhy was he on his last chance and what were the other warnings for?
I mean from a PR and a maybe some team will trade for him perspective I get it, yet it has to be one or the other, either DeAngelo was so bad in some way they kicked him off the team, or he was not that bad and he should still be on the team.
I am more inclined to believe DeAngelo was that much of a problem in some way.
Imagine Larry typing that line up dead serious like it makes things any better lolAn ethnic slur isn't any better than a racist or homophobic one so I don't see how that changes anything.
Wonder what type of future scoops Brisson traded Larry for this piece lol
“I’m not any of those things that are being said about me” Well gee whiz Tony if that’s the case, why are you about to be on your 4th NHL team ?
