I wouldn't say that. Shannon's connection to the Rangers was Sather. Sather doesn't know **** about the day to day ops anymore...I don't think. Guy is probably chewing on a cigar in front of a fireplace somewhere in Banff right now.

Wrong. Sather was at the prospect camp on Friday, sitting with Gorton, JD, Bobrov etc in the bleachers watching the first period.

The second period they moved upstairs above the bleachers to an office overlooking the ice. They were all sitting around a table, looked deep in discussions. I was wondering if they were discussing the action they just saw (although they still were in the same position during the second period) or they were discussing more present concerns (Panarin).

If we’re your top choice and someone else is offering you a deal you can’t pass up come back to us first and we’ll consider matching it but don’t try to bluff us with a deal that doesn’t exist because if we decide not to match it our original offer is off the table.”

It's just that the more you think about it, the Rangers best 3 forward prospects (Kakko, Kravtsov, Chytil) are all looking very likely to be wingers at the NHL level. Buchnevich may stick around. Should we be going all-in on our one top UFA signing that we'll have space for with another winger?

Let's see what we need in 2 years time.
