post a poll then.
Do you think a poll on HF would give you an accurate representation of the Rangers fanbase as a whole? It wouldn't.

Lundqvist is basically top 5 most beloved players in franchise history. MOST fans, who don't obsess over moves like the Bigras trade or Claesson not getting qualified, want one of their favorite players to stay on their favorite team. This isn't rocket science.

Here are my bold predictions for today:

Spencer Knight goes top 10

Boldy falls out of the top 10

Caufield goes top 10

Podkolzin falls out of the top 10

Dach and Cozens both fall out of the top 5

Philip Broberg is the next defenseman off the board after Byram, followed by Seider

Bobby Brink goes in the top 20

Arthur Kaliyev falls out of the 1st round

Another goalie besides Knight is taken in the 1st round

Rangers Centric:

Kreider and Vesey are dealt to Buffalo for the 7th overall pick. Rangers draft Alex Newhook after Zegras is taken 6th. Rangers try to trade up with LA but they want Dallas' 2nd to move up and Gorton refuses.

Rangers take two players in the 2nd round that the consensus group here don't like

Rangers grab a falling Dorofyev with their 3rd rounder

@Amazing Kreiderman is seen on TV at least twice throughout the weekend

I'm not confident that Panarin will end up here. And if that's the case, trading Kreider creates a void of veterans to shelter the young kids up front. I'm a little scared about that, to be honest.

Apparently Colorado loves Dach

As does LA.

That's why I think Cozens is the one who will fall. No one appears tied to him.

Though I don't think he falls far. 7 or 8. Maybe to 10.

But I don't think Turcotte, Dach, Zegras, and Byram make it to 7.

Anyone else anticipating the outcry on here if Shero chooses KK and we're 'stuck' with Hughes?
Let's put it this way.

The Rangers are hitting a grand slam by being able to draft Kakko.

The Rangers could potentially be hitting a grand slam to win a World Series if Hughes falls to them.

Does anyone have the feeling, with the uncertainty of who will get picked where, that any of the trades we're talking about are going to end up happening during the draft? Teams waiting to see if their guy ends up being available for them.
The Colorado/Arizona deals, yes. As regards the Edmonton/Buffalo deals at 7 or 8, you're getting one of the guys you want; IMO, the Rangers are waiting on the other teams/trying to drive up the price.

Here’s a pipedream scenario question for all of you... If we get picks 8 and 14(Arizona) or 16(Colorado), and Chicago takes Zegras or Byram... Would you package those picks to Colorado for Turcotte?

I wouldn't think so. Kreider has 1 year left on his contract, then becomes UFA. He plays 1 year on McDavid's wing, puts up big numbers, and scores a huge UFA contract somewhere else.

With Buchnevich, they have the opportunity to lock him up long term right now. He has 3 RFA years left, so odds are they will sign him for 2 years and still hold his rights, or for 4+ years. He isn't going to make more than Kreider makes now, even on a 4 year deal, most likely. And he still has a lot of upside. He played really, really well at the end of the season. If Edmonton looks at him as a kid with a lot of talent (which he is), who may be figuring it out (which he might be), and someone they can see doing well on McDavid's wing, that can be a huge win for them.

Edmonton needs to make the playoffs sooner rather than later. They need to take that next step and the only way to do it is to get some scoring depth. Buch and Vesey gives them both potential high end and mid-range scoring depth. If they only give Buch a 2 year deal, they will still have cap space to make other moves.
Kreider also has an 11 team ntc

Newhook over who? Cozens?

I would end up liking this though.

These guys are unpaid posters on the board. You expect them to pull all-nighters on work nights so you don’t have to scroll through the pages?

You’re an enjoyable fella, but that’s asking a lot!

Which guys? It was directed at everyone. I’ve done it several times my self.

Besides, I wasn’t asking what any poster had reported but what supposedly was out there.

Whew.

Maybe.

Can I get Cozens and Newhook/Krebs instead? Prefer that latter.

Yeah I too do not see enough separation from Turcotte to anyone else who will likely be there at 8 and 14/16, especially for two anyone elses in that range.
