Im still VERY nervous about the return. I would hate to see any of Robertson, Cuylle, Othmann, BMB, Berard, Sykora, and some others go. I really like the Drury picks so far, how they are playing, and developing. All are 200ft hard nosed in your face players who hit, are pesky, and can pass n shoot. Really excited about these guys joining Chytl, Laf, and Kakko on offense
I am confident he didn't move any prospects of significance for Kane.

Also, with Miller suspended now, I think the best action is to "dress" 55 and allow him a front-row seat to the hopeful *** kicking we give Philly. 5D is acceptable for one game. Fox and Trouba are horses. Mikkola and Harpur showed me big-time balls tonight.

I can pretty much promise you that Othmann isn't going to be involved in any capacity.

Feel very, very, very confident that Cuylle and Sykora won't be either.

Less confident but still pretty sure BMB won't be.

I do think Berard and/or Robertson would be in play.

OTOH, everrrryyyyyyy one on the Hawks side with any knowledge about the team has prepped their fans to be underwhelmed with the return. we're probably looking at a 2023 2nd that has a chance to turn into a 1st depending on some level of playoff success (Hopefully Drury drew a line and said that it's at LEAST a finals appearance) and some combo of Jones or Robertson+ a Pajuniemi type.

ANyone know why Schnieder played 1 shift tonight? THats a concern for me.

I mean we just saw two crazy trades.

Devils give up blah for the top two way player

then Jeannott go for wtf value.

just a bit concerned thats all

Rangers could not afford either one of Carpenter and Schneider (both waiver exempt) to get injured. Those two guys will be sent down over the next two days to accrue the necessary cap space for Kane. Rangers had to do what they had to do.

protect injury so they can send him down for cap purposes to get Kane quicker

I think if its Jones and a 2nd then im ok with it. But anything more than that and ill be disappointed

Just cap shenanigans

I'd be upset if we lost our other 1st this year.

I’m pretty impressed that the boards aren’t crashing.

Buyer’s market eh? Yeesh.
I don't think you can always categorize the market as one or the other.

The last few years, there have just been good trades and bad trades.

Does GG immediately replace Tank with Kane on PP1? You would certainly hope so. Tarasenko looked really good with the Kids on PP2. It's a shame one of the Kids will come off but it is what it is.

I know the Rangers love their PP1 and don't mess with it but this is Patrick Kane.

He'll be the first name on the sheet.

at least we didnt trade for jack johnson. was genuinely worried he'd be coming back with kane

Id actually go unconventional and run with 5 forwards on PP2.

Tampa has been pretty good at recognizing guys they can keep and build around. Everyone had a similar reaction to the Hagel trade last year and he's been excellent for them this season after taking over for Palat.

Imagine that they'll keep Jeannot and he'll take over for Killorn next season.

If we are trading another 2023 first and a Robertson/Berard (for anything less than a cup) for another rental that would be terrible.

I wouldn't. I would give PP1 the freedom to extend shifts and then I would do everything possible to make sure PP2 didn't burn us.
The point is to get the kids more pp time, and start driving more offense. The more confidence they get, the more they're going to be monsters in the playoffs.

Kane joins pp1
Laf, Trochek Chytil
Miller Tarasenko
That would be my hope. Feels weird leaving Kakko off it though.
