I just don’t believe that all of the people we drafted are busts. It’s almost statistically impossible.
I don't disagree but Fil and Miller bucked that trend just fine. It's prob not a coincidence that they're the only prospects out of the ones I listed with above average skating.

Tbh, i think we probably could've come out on top vs. the devils if they didn't get Meier. I don't think we can now that they have, and i think we've burnt a bunch of assets at the deadline for no reason
TBH I still believe we beat them. A 7 game series with Trouba targeting Hughes and everyone else finishing their checks on him and every other Devil bodes very badly for NJ. I don’t think they really have a playoff roster, especially at the top end EXCEPT for Meier. NYR are built way better for playoff hockey.

I agree. We f***ing waxed the Kings today with 11 forwards and 4 defenseman.

If Sheshterkin plays at a good level, we can beat anyone.

It’s funny because everyone is saying omg how are we guna beat them they are good and fast… the same way we beat the Canes last year. Which btw were a better team than the devils are.

Oh and we are about to acquire one of the best playoffs performers of all time.

The Andersson & Kravtsov picks were very detrimental to our rebuild. For whatever reason - it is that simple. The rest is going to be very good I think
If only we were able to get up to grab Petterson in that 2017 draft which was the rumor as to who we were after.

Thank goodness we had multiple first round picks each of those years so we got Chytil in the Anderson year and K'Andre in the Kravtsov year.

Man, if we had just hit on one of them with a center things would be looking different right now. Necas or Suzuki instead of Lias would be looking mighty nice right now as well.

The Kravtsov one yeah, but honeslty nobody amazing was taken to near after him - Farabee I guess would be the next best one but honestly K'Andre might be the best player taken after Kravtsov in that 1st round.

Trocheck was signed to fill his role. The constant search for a 2C was because of that blown pick.

By the way, Trocheck has been a stud. He can take over a game
Vinny is a very good player and once the cap goes up, even if he's a 3C he's fine at his cap hit.

You're right about taking over games, he's one of the few guys that is always noticeable. In a game where nothing is happening for us and we're in mud, he has the ability to still find a way to get some chances.

Having a guy with his style of being a puck hound and using his speed to create some straight line passes and grind goals is big especially with the other types of players we have at forward who are more cerebral and pass happy.

and Kravtsov. And Howden being dogshit. And Hajek. And inexplicably drafting Lindf*** over literally anyone else in that 2018 2nd Round. And Lundkvist. And Kakko being a massive disappointment. And Laf being an even bigger disappointment.

There was absolutely no room for Kak/Laf to underperform with all the bad picks we made and welp, look where we are.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing some draft under new leadership now that Clark is gone.

tbf we beat the Canes last year because Igor absolutely demoralized them. even the two games at the end of the series that ended up being blowouts, he ripped out their hearts early in the game.

The Meier Devils talk needs to stop. First of all, not the thread to discuss it, and second, I love how the run last year and experience are worthless to "Rangers" fans here. Gloss over the shiny new toy. It's about time NJ is good. Only took a decade and several top-2 picks. I am with McRanger. Bring em on. Bring anybody on. I love my boys and don't fear any of these clubs.

I'll come back here when the Gen Z'ers are done having their mental meltdowns over Timo "10 Stanley Cups" Meier. Pathetic.

EDIT: last but not least. Keep calling The Kid line BUSTS. Three of them are performing exceptionally well for secondary scorers with limited PP. We have seen the confidence from all three. They are fine. When it is their time, they will be very good. They are already the team's most consistent line game-to-game. Others have taken notice.

We trading Goodrow boys.... restocking the cupboard

That might actually be the worst trade I’ve ever f***ing seen

No seriously was Julien Brisebois sitting in his office pounding a fifth of Jack Daniels when he sent that to central registry?

I am speechless

I hate this narrative. It takes two to tango. No one wanted to go down so it doesn’t matter the Rangers wanted to go up. No use crying over spilled milk

Lightning put an expiration date on their dynasty with this move
No they didn’t. They do the same thing every deadline. It tends to work out pretty well for them

The hell were the Lightning thinking to give that much up for a bottom 6 player??

We are about to take home the greatest, most clutch American-born hockey player of all-time for a bag of pucks.

Im still VERY nervous about the return. I would hate to see any of Robertson, Cuylle, Othmann, BMB, Berard, Sykora, and some others go. I really like the Drury picks so far, how they are playing, and developing. All are 200ft hard nosed in your face players who hit, are pesky, and can pass n shoot. Really excited about these guys joining Chytl, Laf, and Kakko on offense
