Oh the irony after you posted pages about complaining about giving out minimum contracts.
To vile players, yes.

My problem with Leschysyn is that he's two standard deviations below replacement-level.

You can easily find 4th liners that are both cheap and replacement-level. We have a couple.

Which time? ;)

He's got a long road to become the GOAT methinks.

Seriously though, the guy is 23 and 6'3-4 and 190 lbs. If he wants to amount to something in the NHL he needs more weight/strength which is something the Rangers have been imparting to him for years now. For him to have any semblance of the career your hoping he does then he needs to put in the work and make that happen. He's way to easy to knock off the puck in a league with small rinks and little space.
I think he’s actually 6’5, he was listed at 6’4 and 6’5 on some sites before but now 6’3. He looks a couple inches taller than Kakko who’s listed at 6’3. I don’t think Kravtsov looks any shorter than Miller who’s listed at 6’5. Kravtsov doesn’t even weigh 190 either lol, he’s listed at 180-something! Might be the skinniest player in the NHL

Viewing the game in street clothes from the skybox adds an inch

In both situations there’s a reasonable hope / expectations that the player has another level above this minimum replacement level either due to age or injury recovery. Drury made a call on one and possibly might make a similar call on the other. In both cases if it doesn’t work out there’s a waiver and Hartford. No reason to bent out of shape.

You can find players who already are where we hope Leschyshyn will be for the same price!

Somebody make it make sense!

Like, can't we just say that the Rangers acquired a bad player and just maybe they like him a bit more than they should? That's like the most feasible thing in the world. They do it all the time.

It always has to be galaxy chess. That gets me bent out of shape more than the player.

Newsflash, listen to the guys who’ve been in the game at this level about playing with confidence vs without.

And also, we are talking about next season. Taking (longer) time recovering from an injury is a thing.
Confidence isn’t going to suddenly heal Sammy’s knee.

And yeah. Taking time from a horrible injury is certainly a thing. It just doesn’t make sense to have it happen at the NHL level, with a player who will likely be gone this summer

Bro, you've already said he'd be RoTY three years in a row and been wrong. Everything you've said is already over. You're like somebody who packed a 150 pick parlay, you missed on the first event, and you're still gloating about the payout.

The insufferable infatuation with willing Blais into the lineup is past the point of irrational thinking.

Newsflash, a trip down to the AHL isnt going to affect anything. He's still going to be one of the worst forwards in the NHL tonight. Nothing is going to miraculously change. This isnt about conditioning its about the guys knee physically preventing him from being the player he once was.
I thought he was pretty good tonight…

Definitely looked a tad quicker and was pretty physical.

Labanc would be a quality add. But that would be in addition to a top 6 winger like Tarasenko.
I would like him too but how are we getting him when he's making almost 5 million next year??? Am I missing something?

i thought Blais was decent tonight too. clearly more confident

once we get rid of Leshitshow we could have a very interesting 4th line
Yeah if we get that Blais moving forward he’s fine for a 4th liner.

I think Gaut brings more to the table than Cuylle right now.

I’d like to see Gaut-Goodrow-Blais as a 4L with Krav slotted back in the top 9.

I’m just curious, would it be possible to acquire someone like Tarasenko on a sign and trade? Would love to see Tank sign for something like a $6M x 4 year deal, and then shave that down to 50%. We move out the Goodrow contract to make the space.

It’s an opportunity for the Blues to navigate through Tarasenko’s NTC as he picks his destination. That would indicate their plan to rebuild. I’m curious if they would do that with players like Thomas, a Kyrou, and Snuggerud who look to be major contributors soon.

If that’s legal, I would be willing to move a big package.

Do you realize how much value you'd have to add to our side of the trade to get STL to eat 3 mil x 4 of a contract that doesn't exist yet.

I’m not sure I see a way for Kravtsov to regain any relevance here. If there is a market for him, I expect he will be moved for reinforcements. One way or another, he may be a Shark soon.
Someone found THE TEMPLATE. Let it guide you. However, as per THE TEMPLATE, just because he's irrelevant this season doesn't mean he's a goner.

I'm more lenient on Blais than most but idk why he'd be ahead of Cuylle in the pecking order. Cuylle has been very disruptive with how well he moves and his active stick. And LOL at wanting Krav on one of those lines. Poll the players.

If it’s for meier, my issue is going to be they’re gonna want more than vk, and I don’t wanna move 13/24/72 + Othmann.

Vk + others are fair game. Vk + Jones + first and second sounds close to what they want.

Othmann is a goner if you want Meier.

I suspect that they'll add Tarasenko, another forward and a D.

So long as we don’t lose those 4, I’m all for it.

Tank slides on to the wing with 10-93,
We run 20-16-26
Kids
50-21-91(the version we got tonight)

That’s a deep forward lineup.

Where is the best spot for a Kravtsov trade? The Lundkvist to Dallas fit was easy to project. He scored a goal last night, 5 goals. 15 points. 40 more points to the 4th round pick in 2025 becoming a 3rd round pick in 2025. The Stars needed a D to replace Klingberg. The Stars didn't have a replacement in their system. The Stars didn't have a lot of cap space this season with Robertson and Oettinger to re-sign. Lundkvist to Dallas.

Would Vancouver want Kravtsov? Thomas Drance wrote last season about the Canucks being interested in Kravtsov. The new management wanted to add young skill forwards. They haven’t really added anyone. Hoglander is in the AHL. Podkolzin was recalled from the AHL a few days ago. I was watching a Canucks podcast yesterday and the two media guys were speculating about Podkolzin's future in Vancouver. The previous regime selected him. They said Vancouver needs a D. They also said Vancouver needed a D in the Horvat trade.

Not easy to find the right fit for Kravtsov. The Rangers didn't trade him for less last season. His trade value has not gone up this season.

Only an injury gets him back in and it has to be top 9. I get keeping kids with talent but there’s too much history . I’m calling CLB for say Foudy
