Labanc is good and if you can get money held on him, he becomes a good piece for next year as well.

Plus it would still give you room to operate to add a few more pieces this year. Our deadline space will (or can) be pretty significant once we drop the quartet of dunces (Leschyshyn, Blais, Hajek, Kravtsov) that we're currently carrying right now.

We would need the Sharks to eat money but Labanc should be high on the list of potential acquisitions.
I may be OK with Kravtsov for LaBanc @ 50%. I really, really dont want to give up on him yet.

I also am back on the RO'R bandwagon. Those 2 moves make us much harder to play against .

Isnt Labanc a floater? I know he is a talented player when he's on but why is he being scratched frequently by Quinn Rangers west so frequently? We'd need to make room for him next year as well. If we're going to make a trade like Tampa did when they got Coleman, a local guy like Labanc isnt the worst target.

Probably easier for Drury to make a complicated trade like that with his buddy Grier.

I don’t think it’ll be easy for San Jose to retain salary in some of their deals. You only get 3 retention slots, and they’re already using one on Burns for two more years. They’re going to use one on Karlsson, which will be another four years. Grier won’t have the flexibility for other moves when he’s trying to dump salary elsewhere. San Jose’s contract situation is absolutely terrible.

Only if you look at it as the top team has more wins than the 4 seed etc. Statistically speaking the field dominates the Presidents trophy winners. Still proves my point that the best team normally does not win the cup.

So your argument is that the other 15 teams have more cups than the no 1 seed? Yeah, that happens in literally any sport. That's not an argument.

Truth is, that winning the President's Trophy still gives you a stastistically better chance than not winning it.

Well with any rental it would just be for the remaining months. Meier will have retention. I do not see Karlsson moving this deadline, he'll be moved in the summer in an effort to not retain.

If you are referring to Labanc, I would think they could retain on him and he'll be the 3rd one for them and it only last until the end of next season.

Yes, I meant Labanc since the rentals don’t matter for this year. They definitely could do it, but it still limits them for next year if they end up moving Karlsson too. For a rebuilding team, not being able to retain salary and pick up some extra assets in a 3-way deal is an easy way to miss out on free assets

Damn this certainly might be the most off template. I guess in this scenario Panarin was captured by Putin?

The insufferable infatuation with willing Blais into the lineup is past the point of irrational thinking.

Newsflash, a trip down to the AHL isnt going to affect anything. He's still going to be one of the worst forwards in the NHL tonight. Nothing is going to miraculously change. This isnt about conditioning its about the guys knee physically preventing him from being the player he once was.
Newsflash, listen to the guys who’ve been in the game at this level about playing with confidence vs without.

And also, we are talking about next season. Taking (longer) time recovering from an injury is a thing.

A lot of people are going to have eggs on their faces when Krav becomes everything I said he'd be & more.
Bro, you've already said he'd be RoTY three years in a row and been wrong. Everything you've said is already over. You're like somebody who packed a 150 pick parlay, you missed on the first event, and you're still gloating about the payout.

Man some rangers fans really took it personal when he bailed to Russia

Which time? ;)

A lot of people are going to have eggs on their faces when Krav becomes everything I said he'd be & more.

He's got a long road to become the GOAT methinks.

Seriously though, the guy is 23 and 6'3-4 and 190 lbs. If he wants to amount to something in the NHL he needs more weight/strength which is something the Rangers have been imparting to him for years now. For him to have any semblance of the career your hoping he does then he needs to put in the work and make that happen. He's way to easy to knock off the puck in a league with small rinks and little space.
