Panarin was fine with Strome, now we have a 1 line team.Trocheck hasn't been the issue. Panarin has.

YupPanarin was fine with Strome, now we have a 1 line team.
And all that changed with trochek?? Trochek is doing the exact same game only he can't play with Panarin. Open your eyes, Trochek hasnt been good on either side of the puck.Strome has 11 points in 21 games playing with Anaheim. I doubt he got any more disciplined in defensive coverage, board battles and taking offensive zone penalties.

Our bottom 6 isnt the issue.I’ll keep harping on this but making the decision to sign Motte and someone like Evan Rodriguez this offseason would have gone a long way to improve team speed and make the team more tenacious on the puck. They could have been fit under the cap with no Reaves or Carpenter…
Strome was hurt ffs and no Trochek hasnt been better in any facet of the game, people talk about Troubas contract, this one is gonna stink real bad. All the stuff people picked at Strome about is still happening with Trochek.Panarin wasn't fine with Strome in the playoffs and hasn't been fine since. He's forcing passes, making bad decisions, and refusing to shoot.
Trocheck has been better than Strome in every facet of the game. The "chemistry" might not be there as well as it was with Panarin, but that's on the bread man. He's the elite 11M+ forward.
Panarin with Strome literally sum up in a nutshell everything that is wrong with the current mindset of this team. Strome's post game interview two seasons ago when he talked about the coaches needing to trust the players more is the attitude that permeates this group & tells you all you need to know about how willing they are to playing within a system. The only system this team cares about is making pretty plays that result in highlight reel goals. As long as they can produce a goal like that every third game, in their minds' the coach is too rigid & there's no reason to change what they're doing.Panarin was fine with Strome, now we have a 1 line team.
You think this attitude started with Quinn, Strome??? Are you forgetting the Vigneault years? The last year of tortorella?Panarin with Strome literally sum up in a nutshell everything that is wrong with the current mindset of this team. Even with Quinn gone, & now Strome gone, the mindset pervades & it's infected every member of the locker room. Guys like Trocheck who are used to playing hard under Brind'Amour still show flashes of forechecking hard & outworking opponents, but just give it some time & he'll fall right in line & collect his paycheck without breaking a sweat. That's the NYR way.
I too, like my lineup losing to the Ducks in regulation & blowing a 3-0 lead in the 3rd.
100x worse than Quinn or AVNever hated a coach more
I'm not exactly happy about Kravtsov sitting but all in all does anyone think the build of this team with Vesey and Goodrow in the top 6 is a cup team??? Coach might be an issue but we aren't built like a cup team and for that Drury has to fall on the sword or fix it.
Torts teams were many things, but one thing they didn't do was thumb their nose at the coach. They all played within the system. Granted the message wore thin & the players began tuning him out, but they all rowed in one direction while Torts was still here..

Absolutely pathetic. Rip that C off todayJust saw a video on twitter of Trouba getting the stick flung out of his hand by Draisatl on his way to the bench after scoring the 4th goal. I guess all the BS about being proud to be the Rangers captain was a lie. Gutless team with gutless leaders
They did for sure....Gaborik as an example, Del Zotto etc. Torts team was mainly comprised of north south players, when that started changing it went south for him too otherwise he would never have left. The last 3 coaches have been preaching north south hockey, we have a bunch of east west players, maybe the coaches need to adjust to the team instead of the team adjusting to the coach.Torts teams were many things, but one thing they didn't do was thumb their nose at the coach. If you wanna argue the attitude started with AV, I won't argue, but that Strome interview was extremely telling about what the coach is trying to instill & their attitude towards it. Not enough attention was paid to that particular soundbite, but it's exactly what most of us are seeing in this team.

Fine if you need to split hairs, but you're deflecting away from the current issues, however. They did for sure....Gaborik as an example.
Gallant likes the lineup.
Yeah had to chuckle at that oneGallant saying "but but he's had surgery" (I assume referencing the tooth thing) is a peak clown shoes coaching comment.
