I have that as a maybe. Do you think Lafrenière's camp are ok with a 2 x 2.5m bridge deal for a 1OA? Miller will get paid, Chytil will get paid, then there's Kakko and Schneider coming up again a year later and if they keep the pace in their growth they will get paid too.
why wouldnt they be ok with that. If he becomes a 60 or 70 point player by the end of that deal he is going to cash in tremendously

Copp is a 3rd liner who got paid like a second liner because he had a good 3 weeks with Panarin until he got hurt down the stretch and was a shell of himself. Trocheck is a much better player in every way.

And I like Copp!

Not to mention the fact that he's not exactly fleet of foot in his prime.

The exact last thing this roster needs is to get even slower.

Kreider Zibs Kakko

next line should
Panarin Chytil Kravtsov - which would never be used late game to defend. Between Panarin and Chytil there's a great chance of defensive breakdowns, best defense is offense tho, amirite?

Laffy Trocheck Goodrow/Vesey - Probably turns to Goodrow Trocheck Vesey late game

but since Gallant is locked on keeping Panarin and Trocheck together... put Laffy there... the initial lines to start the year, were the 'right' ones. Ever since they've been changed, our metrics have been shit.

Kreider Zibs Kakko
Panarin Tro Laffy
Goodrow Chytil Kravtsov

If we get Meier then Panarin is gone in the offseason. I still think Seravalli is full of shit, but Meier is a Drury type player and much more in line with the speed and aggression that he wants on the team.

I don't trust a lot of these insiders. They get these rumors but it's more like speculation. They want to throw as many darts at a board and hope to hit the bullseye.

Id rather keep panarin than Meier but he is perfect RW for this team right now. A reasonable contract needed though going forward or panarin going to boston or something

Wondering if this is the end for Blais once Gauthier is back, I figured he would just be sent somewhere as a body on deadline day for cap purposes, but there’s no reason to carry 14 forwards once Gauthier is healthy.

His cap number is also ridiculous so possible he just clears waivers with teams saving money.

Seravelli always has the Rangers in on the biggest names. JT Miller at the deadline last year, Kadri this summer, Kane and Meier now. Obviously it gets the clicks if you play it up, but the Rangers interest in Miller & Kadri was confirmed by other sources after the fact.

Drury's interest in these type of players doesnt make sense unless he thinks he can move salary. Which i personally dont know why hed think that but Im interested to see how it plays out

Panarin waiving his No move would be a huge surprise, I doubt it happens. Trouba would be much more likely to waive IMO. Not that I think it's likely in either situation.

One can only hope

I don’t get what you’re so happy about - with Chytil and Goodrow Kravtsov generated 5 SOG and had actual scoring opportunities. With this “promotion” is he back to 0-1 SOG and barely any puck touches at all?
100% agreed. I really liked what they had going on and do not like this change at all.

Until they're broken up Panarin-Trochek are a toxic duo at this point. put vesey back there so they can be not-horrible defensively.

dumbfounded.

How is Trouba on the PP unit still? Over freaking Kravtsov.

If you told me it was to troll @EdJovanovski, I'd believe you.... because that's the only way it makes any sense

I hate Trouba on the powerplay in all aspects but I can tolerate it much more with him on the left half wall since he won't be "responsible" for holding the line or denying breakaways.

After the signing bonuses are paid this summer:

Panarin has $19m in money left for 3 years.

Kreider has $18m left for 4 years

If I was a budget team, these guys would intrigue me GREATLY
Still might be too rich for those budget teams. But after paying 2024 bonus it will be only $9m for two years.
