1)Colorado has to add significantly. MacKinnon is very overrated. Not much better of a producer than Stepan.

2)That's cutting Peter's head off to pay Paul.

I know I've given you **** in the past, but I must say, I've really enjoyed your posts this offseason

He's only a 2/3 on Nashville. A 2 on Ottawa, TB and maybe a few others. That's it. He's a 1 everywhere else.

I really find it hard to believe McDonagh would even be a 2/3 on Nashville. Roman Josi is a disaster in his own end, and I think McDonagh is an all around better player than Subban

Yankees "rebuild"/reset, whatever you want to call it, would have been a lot quicker had they traded Cano and Robertson when they knew they weren't a playoff team (not that the Rangers can't be) or had any chance to win the WS..

Rangers have Zibanejad, Hayes, Kreider, Miller, Buch, SKjei, Vesey, DeAngelo, that's quite a few young talents there that IF you traded Mcdonagh ad got a franchise center... IF you traded Zucc and got that top young RHD... You could be not only still in contention, but your future would be very good..

I get it... but I don't think the Rangers do it.

Ottawa doesn't have anything I'd want besides one player... as far as NHLers go..

but as a hockey fan, something in me wants to see a Mcdonagh/EK pairing.. could you imagine?

Been posting this a while but CLB going all in on Duchene.

For those that don't know. NHL trades these days sometimes takes months.

Have a feeling the Rangers are getting outbid by all the mediocre teams desperate for players

A deal around Hanafin and Duchene makes a lot of sense with maybe a small add from Carolina. Carolina is looking to hopefully take the next step with a legitimate goalie. Carolina still needs a top 6 center. They have an abundance of defense.

Colorado is rebuilding. A 20 year old asset for a 26 year asset makes a ton of sense for each respective team.

I'm starting to think that the front office is ok with the defense as is even without Shattenkirk or a trade. Realistically, Holden or Staal is still going to be getting top 4 minutes next year. Realistically, who is paired with McDonagh? Would Bereglazov come in and be ready to fit in on the top pair?

DeAngelo is going to play with the big club next year. The Rangers wouldn't have asked for him if they didn't have plans to do so. He's basically Dan Boyle reincarnate. He's a rover and basically a 4th forward. He needs a stay at home like Staal to cover him. I could see that working as a bottom pair sheltered against other teams' bottom six players.

Trxjw or eco called it, but Dadanov to Florida. 3 yrs $4M aav

That was about 10 or so days ago--Trxjw might have called it too. Somewhere between an astute and lucky guess on my part. That was pre Vegas draft and the Panthers dumping Smith's large contract and Marchessault whose next contract is going to be for some serious money....and at around the same time all the rumors popping up about Dadonov and the ongoing talk about Kovalchuk. It seemed to me they were making room for Dadonov and perhaps Kovalchuk.

IMHO FO wants to see what they have in ADA, Pionk, Bereglazov, Graves, Day and Zborovsky. Even if Staal is #7, there're two open spots. Yeah, yeah can never have enough defensemen but if they wanted to sign Shattenkirk , they wouldn't hurry to sign Smith.
