Why don't you ever pm me about my problems

I do. They are just invisible PM's that you can't see or read until you have 33,333 posts on HF.

So let me see if I get this right. Brooks says all year no Shattenkirk. Can't/don't want to pay him. Won't pursue him. McKenzie even says he doesn't think so. We trade Stepan and gain a ton of cap space as well as a RHD PMD. We re-sign Smith. Now 2 days before FA starts Brooks is saying we will pursue him but he will have to leave a lot of money on the table to play for us?

Would much much much prefer miller at wing then center but if it means overpaying for a center for long term shift miller to center and hopefully he gains some traction at the position.
Not willing to take risk for a bonino or thornton for more than 1-2 year deals and they want more than that

If the Rangers touch bonino at 5 million for 4-5 years I'm gonna flip

Freidman just said "The Rangers are determined to be modest, which takes them out of the Kevin Shattenkirk race unless something really changes." in a FA primer thing

Money talks and ******** walks my friends

The Rangers have an abundance of wingers, so why the heck would they be interested in Marleau and Williams?
I thought I read Sharks fans saying he played a good amount of C this year. I have nothing to back that up though.

Super. Duper. Cool. We are still talking about brooks. No one is forcing any of you guys to follow his tweets or read his articles. Obviously know one is making you actually process what he writes or you would know he admits when he gets it wrong. But I guess he's all about covering that tail.

I'm still hoping we sit back and try to pick up a younger center later on when some one needs cap space or their team done early. Better yet, find a team that is surprised by a rising star and they need to offload a short term center to make the room.

Just say no to Jumbo Joe and Marleau.

First off, Marleau is not even a center. He's old and soft as butter. Just not a good fit.

Thornton is old and coming off surgery. While he can probably put top 6 points, he's not a good fit either with this team's direction. We should be getting younger and faster.

Someone in the Rangers' front office leaked that info about Shattenkirk. Posturing to Shattenkirk and his agent through the media. The Rangers will look to sign him, but only for a certain amount.

Not a good fit?

He is the perfect fit. He is what Hayes should be striving to be.

Richards gave up a bit of cash to come to NY.

Shattenkirk is going to have to give up Salary and term if he wants to play here. I can't see him turning down 7x7+ from NJ or Buffalo if hes only being offered 5x6 from NY.

Hasn't the word been out there that Shattenkirk would take less to play for the Rangers?

That's what everyone was saying at the TDL when he was turning down contract offers, but now that I guess it's free agency and teams are lining up to throw money at him they're thinking differently
