He's managed to make this team worse than the Isles in one fell swoop..
Lol step away from the ledge pal

Would Dallas trade us one of their goalies and #3 for #7?
7 + Nash @50% for 3 and Lehtonen
I think Nash @50 has more value than that.
But I also thought Stepan was going to return more so what do I know?
That's a bit dramatic. He moved a lot of cap. I think he's clearly planning to fix the defense via free agency.
Wait until after free agency before calling for his head.
Not being dramatic lol but I fail to see how you fix the defence with unknown parts at the expense of all the center depth.
Nash's value is shot. I think he's worth more to us as a player than as a trade chip at this point.

Maybe, but if we're going to move him with salary retained, I'd probably prefer to do a separate deal elsewhere.
If they really want to get crazy, maybe its possible to get that pick with out giving up 7![]()

I think we can get #3 for 7+21
We should only do it if Nolan or Nico are still on the board though.
Nash @50% + 21 for #3
Gorts pls
Nash @ 50% is great value. 3.5mil on a one year deal would be a steal this year in free agency for a player of his caliber.

Who are we giving up for Kruger though to obtain that?
And does Boyle get $2.5 at his age for 4 years?
You sign Shattenkirk and Smith. Those aren't unknowns. That gives us an excellent top 4.
Yes the center depth hurts a lot. We better pick a center with our first. Could sign a free agent until that player is ready to take over. Thornton on a cheap 1 year deal would be ideal.

What about Marcus Kruger if Chicago would pretty much give him up for something small?
Hasn't all the smoke around Dallas moving #3 been around getting an NHL player right now.
I don't think the picks do much for them unless they're going to package them back out for a player.
Personally..I want no part of Shattenkirk.
I would take Smith back though as long as he comes back down to earth with his asking price. He's smoking his lunch if he thinks he's that good.
This is probably what moving Stepan's contract was for though. It seems like the logical next step for JG.
