Who could we be targeting? Conventional thinking is that Hischier and Patrick are going 1, 2, although there are rumblings of Makar at 1.

I'd think we are trading up for Vilardi, Heiskanen, Makar, Glass or Pettersson. Dallas and Colorado are likely targeting the defensemen, Vancouver is big on Glass and Pettersson, they need forwards not defensemen. Vilardi doesn't seem a great fit anywhere, although he has been mocked all over because he's a good player.

Personally, I'd tell NJ that we should pick before them, get the lone 1st round dud out of the way for everyone else. What's the opposite of the Midas touch?
