Thanks.

Today was more or less what I expected, Mostly Vegas related stuff, thought they'd get more done but they have an entire summer to flesh things out.

Lack of Rangers chatter bothers me a bit. Still think Stepan moving tomorrow is slightly better than 50/50 but he shouldn't be the only guy being shopped.

"I am going to trade Stepan and get a bunch of great pieces....right? so....you'll see what happens tomorrow"

Interesting tidbits of information there. Uhm. Seems like they valued Lindberg a bit more and it may change what they do with Stepan. Uhm. I doubt it will, but we'll see.

Uhm. I like the visual of the Rangers management being giddy and, uhm, racing each other up to the podium when they, uhm, get called up for the first round pick.

I liked the interview. Uhm.

It always looks like Gorton is squinting to see something further in the distance.

Can we interview Sather now? I miss my stoogie-holding granddad.

"We're gonna build a wall, on defense, it's gonna be a great wall, and Staal's going to Florida and they're gonna pay for him."

If the team does have a deal in place already for #21 and it didn't have anything to do with Vegas I guess it's likely that they would wait for tomorrow evening to pull the trigger. More dramatic to the live TV when announced.

Then of course they also might not have anything. And if so, I'm good. There's a pick there that Gorton just said he told the boys he isn't trading. 5 years...don't f--- this one up!

Serious question, what is Strome's floor? Does anyone think he won't make an effect at the NHL level? I would say his floor is about 45-50 points. That's Hayes production. Probably a high end of 70. That's the ideal guy to come back in a deal for Stepan. Add in their 7th overall and the Rangers can add a second good piece. A player 7th overall shouldn't take more than 3 years to be ready. Most likely less.

I hope Gorton is smart enough to maximize Raanta.

Nash should be dealt tomorrow. This team has enough wingers. Buch. Vesey. MZA. Miller. Grabner. Fast. That's the top-9 wingers. That's assuming they don't add a winger in any deal or sign one.

I guess Nash to Chicago @50% retained is a great move, assuming Hossa is put on LTIR ASAP or something. Chicago will definitely miss him regardless.

I'm really interested to see how a Stepan trade turns out. Especially since I think there is a good chance it's a Stepan+Raanta package, if anything.

Wonder what our best returns would be, especially in a Nash deal.
