Grabner had an abnormal year. He is consistently performing way under this past season. 2 scenarios for him is the regression or he actually repeats and doubles his salary at a minimum. He has more value to us as ED fodder than those two outcomes.

So many names we could try to swing a deal for like Manson, Dumba, etc. This week could be hectic with trades.

He fits right next to McDonagh. Out on Shattenkirk. Re-sign Smith. Send Holden to the moon.

It also amazes me how many people are ready to give Shattenkirk a deal larger than Girardi's after we just freed up that space.

I realize we cleared the cap for a reason (to use it) but lets not be so quick to lock ourselves into a 7 year, 6M per pact.

I would think that the combination of the bribe from the isles plus the actual player selected will be more than any player we lose
