Our projected cap as of now is $61,636,111

If we assume the cap goes up to 75m, that leaves us with 13.4m

If Klein retires, that becomes 16.3m with a total cap now of $58,736,111

Really interested to see if we can make a deal for Colin Miller or Pysyk if they're exposed and Vegas picks them

So protection of Holden . Not like Vegas was taking him anyway . It's better if it's Raanta not Fast or Lindberg . Don't say grabner cause he's not a long term asset

We don't know when they processed the paperwork. All we know is that they said they will buy him out. They only said they will buy him out. Not when.

He could have been bought out yesterday, or he may not be bought out until the 30th. We don't know.

Man it's like some people believe things happen as soon as a window to do so occurs. :shakehead

Only when the team officially announces its intention to do it the day before the window opens.

I think youre arguing just to be an *******, honestly.

Raanta is only controlled for 1 year. He's UFA in 2018.

Fast/Lindberg is the obvious choice since they are solid players and RFA when their contracts end

Amazing- Yeah unfortunately I think you are right.

Vegas will probably be a bit held back with RFAs though. They can only select 10 FAs -- and in the mock lists I've seen well over 10 FAs would have been my first selections. But I think it's wishful thinking...

So really nothing any of the Ducks fans predicted came true, and now they're more than likely trading something to Vegas so they select Vatanen.

Nightmare scenario.

He was bought out. It's official. No idea why you continue to argue it.

I'm somewhat baffled that a team like Minnesota couldn't find a deal that involved them getting an NHL asset back that they wanted in exchange for a player they're now likely to lose anyway.

Feels to me like too many GMs were looking to bend others over the barrel and no one was really negotiating honestly.

Ducks are also going to be forced to trade Vatanen to Vegas in order to protect Manson. Not ideal at all for them.
