Yeah, I'm a bit puzzled as to why that's being knocked against him. In his draft year it was a consensus that he had the best hands, best puck carrying ability and best passer of the draft class.
 
Now trade step for AG and a first turn around and trade AG the first and additional pick for trouba ;) ok ok I will stop dreaming
 
Radulov was a beast for them last year. Watched most of their games and he was probably their scariest forward .
 
So are we gonna move Stepan for Brodin like we tried to last year? Keep Brodin or try to move him? Basically what Trxjw has said for a month now

The first trade....really, why would Colorado do that? McKinnon is a stud it would take a LOT more than that. The 2nd one is more possible, but I doubt Nashville does that. Swap Hayes with Stepan and maybe. Dont get me started on the 3rd trade.
 
I like the Drouin-Sergachev trade for both teams honestly, it's a win/win trade in my book.

When it comes to Brodin, i like him as a player, my issue is this: Why trade assets for Brodin when we can sign Smith?
They're very similar players when it comes to their actual output on the ice, shot suppressors with limited offense who play both sides.
 
I know most of you might think this is a dumb question but doesn't Stepan's NTC kicking in make him harder to deal? Do other teams think he's worth trading for? He had a terrible year last year and am wondering if that hurt his trade value.

May I ask why? You're basically trading staal and your first to get rid of staal. Plus love or hate kovy you're getting him.
Most people would have traded staal and first for nothing back just to get rid of him

I don't want Kovalchuk.

If its Staal for Kovalchuk? Fine. I wouldn't give up anything of value for him. No need to help NJ out.
