I wouldn't trade Hayes for Eberle at this point. The Oilers would probably do that in a heartbeat.

Well, i'd trade Hayes for pretty much anything that's good because i don't think he's very good :P I classify Eberle as good.

To be fair though, it would make our cap situation pretty rough so it's extremely unlikely.

Darn I figured Drouin would be traded. Too much bad blood and contracts coming up. Wish we had got in on that.

He's one of those classic cases of too good for the AHL, not good enough for the NHL.

I think he can play in the NHL but would have to play better than he did last season at times. He is not what was hoped but is better than some fringe players. Maybe he gets a fresh start in Vegas?

I'll take Drouin over Sergachev...

Drouin is exactly the kinda player the Habs need...however, if they dont bring back Radulov..i think they are no better than last year. they need more than just Drouin.

Best on Nash is NOW pre draft to SJ for 2017 1st, ELC Bergman and 7ish m in cap relief.

that pick makes it easier to
flip our 21OA w/Raanta for 16OA

can then add to that 16OA and move further down

The Sharks have no interest in Nash. He doesn't fit their needs at all.

I don't know who penned this fable, but it's a fable.

Am I the only one who thinks this is really bad for Tampa?

Its hard to say for sure at this point because only Drouin has played in the NHL. Tampa traded the #3 overall pick from 2013 for #9 overall pick in 2016. After last years playoffs people were talking about Drouin like he would replace Stamkos as Tampas best forward.

Am I the only one who thinks this is really bad for Tampa?

Nope I agree with you

Drouin is going to be a consistent 60+ point player who is spectacular on offense

Sergachev is an unknown at this point. A good prospect but still no idea how he will play in the NHL

You can't trade Stepan to Montreal without a monster return now. You can't give them a big piece and potentially face them in the playoffs without addressing more than one need.

We don't need a wing and we don't need another iffy center. We need a center if we ship out Stepan and we badly need a right d. Don't see how Montreal helps in either department.
