I’m really concerned what you will do with your board name once Staal leaves in 5 years (1.5 as a statue on defense and 3.5 as James Dolan’s offensive consultant for defenders)
I’ll be too busy celebrating to even care tbh

Zucker and Galchenyuk were on the TSN Trade bait list. Zucker was #11. Galchenyuk was #36.
Kreider is #1. DeAngelo is #8. Buchnevich is #12.
Pittsburgh wins the trade IMO
we’re not going to have players on ELCs forever.
You can't evaluate things based on results like that. I edited my post to add more reasoning but suffice it to say they're not gonna be paying as much as you think IMO.Kind of hard to tell until we know what the 1st and Addison turn into.

The path to keeping Kreider and DeAngelo involves moving Skjei, Strome and likely buying out Staal.
How many of these young kids getting paid? Kakko? Probably, I hope. Fox, probably. Maybe Chytil? Kravtsov be lucky If he gets Buch’s current deal. Most of them are getting reasonable second contracts.
Not seeing the problem here.
Zbad alone is going to cost over 10M in 2 more years. That’s 28M tied up in 3 forwards. 6M for ADA. That’s 14M between him and Trouba. 42M in 5 players. Keep doing the math. Buch? Strome? Chytil? Kakko? Fox? Igor?
We might be able to make CK’s salary work for a few years but look down the road, it will really complicate things. And we’ll be stuck with him because he’s not signing without a NTC.
Then we missed on a good deal of them and we won’t be winning shitHow many of these young kids getting paid? Kakko? Probably, I hope. Fox, probably. Maybe Chytil? Kravtsov be lucky If he gets Buch’s current deal. Most of them are getting reasonable second contracts.
Either there goes my Addison dreams or they just got better
you’re paying whoever is brought in to replace him in the top 6 at least 5 million per. Whether that’s next season or the year after that/ They can make it work with the extra 1.5/2m they’re paying him.

They can promote from within. Kakko and Kravtsov have both played at LW quite a bit.
Or, we can target a Center and move Chytil to wing.
You’ve already convinced yourself we need Kreider and can’t go on without him, similar to what Zucc’s fan favorites were saying last season.

Not sure. They have time to grow and improve. But hey, spend like an American w a ton of credit card debt all you want. That’s not how to run finances or win a Stanley FUNKING CUPhow much do you think Chytil is getting on his next deal? Or Lindgren?

Kravtsov hasn’t played a single NHL game and you got him on the second lime.
