I can’t imagine that being true. Kreider is just hands down the better player. I understand the term adds some value but it can’t possibly make Zucker the better target.

I was being facetious when I said Newhook and a first but I bet Kreider brings a better return than some of the Debbie downers are trying to prepare us for.

I can’t imagine that being true. Kreider is just hands down the better player. I understand the term adds some value but it can’t possibly make Zucker the better target.

I hope I am wrong but I think anyone hoping for anything significantly better than this type of return for Kreider is setting themselves up for disappointment. This would be a solid, yet maybe unspectacular, return for him.

Zucker's production trending down. His earlier >40 point seasons aren't stellar, and might have represented his peak.

He's gonna play with a top 5 player in the world, I'm sure he'll be okay. Crosby has made worse players look better

I would say I’d he resigns it will be for max 7, hopefully less. So Kreider on that deal 6 years from now is fine for me. Even if he’s on the third line. I also think the cap will be higher 5 years from now.

Quite a haul for zucker.

I dont know much about Addison.

But the 2020 1st rounder could become a 2021 if PIT misses the playoffs. So that is a gamble for both sides.

Galchenyuk is a UFA at the end of the year.

So a 2020 1st and Addison for a signed Zucker through age 32.

I’m really concerned what you will do with your board name once Staal leaves in 5 years (1.5 as a statue on defense and 3.5 as James Dolan’s offensive consultant for defenders)

By the time their window closes they'll be able to trade Zucker off for the equivalent of Addison or a 1st at the least unless he just dies.

Chucky is a negative asset who was gone anyway.

3.5 years of Zucker for functionally a single asset square in their timeline is a great deal.
