I like Lindholm but his contract situation isn’t ideal
I’m not at the point yet where I’d feel comfortable making a blockbuster like that
Maybe next summer
Lauko is one of those buyer beware types.
There are enough tools there that it’s easy to over-project him, but I’m not sure the sum of the parts quite equal up to the offensive player one thinks he could be.
So not unlike Hajek, where others thought there was more offense and maybe more upside, I tend to lean toward a more conservative projection for him as a prospect.
He’s fine. Day to day.
So is the plan to trade Strome for what you can, and sign Galchenyuk? Could he fit with Panarin? Left shot. What will it take?
That's some magic beans thinking right there.
Move a guy who plays in all situations, young, 22-23 minutes a night, and who would probably take a cost controlled contract for a one dimensional player who isn't even terribly good at that one dimension.
Galchenyuk is Buchnevich with extra steps.
Assuming Trouba, ADA and Lindgren protected, Hajek would be exposed even if we move Skjei. The Rangers have four NHL defensemen who are expansion draft eligible — Trouba (NTC), Skeji, DeAngelo and Lindgren. Lindgren is the youngest and cheapest. Logic tells you they will look to move either Skeji or DeAngelo.
To me it’s an easy decision (Skeji) but in either case, it’s probably the type of trade that isn’t made until the offseason. It’s very unlikely a team in the playoff hunt is going to move the type of asset the Rangers will want off their current roster. Unless someone is ready to trade a prime young asset, see you in June.
Situation could change but as of today, yes.Assuming Trouba, ADA and Lindgren protected, Hajek would be exposed even if we move Skjei.
Nice to see everyone hopping on the Lindholm option. Perfect fit, Kravtsov+Lundkvist+small plus would be a good basis
Can we please not with the scout sightings this year? I know, pipe dream. Everyone scouts everyone.
Really?
The Bruins prospect pool doesn’t rank all that high in various prospect rankings
Bottom 5-10 basically
Isn’t the fact that Pittsburgh is trying to get rid of Galchenyuk this quickly a huge red flag? Arizona did too.
Galchenyuk to me is basically Ryan Strome with issues.
But with one important difference. He has a left shot. Which means Panarin can feed him from the left side. And Galchenyuk has showed he can score goals.
If anyone can get him going it has to be Panarin.
