This move is more about “improving the room” than his play on the ice.
The flyers apparently were a mess in the locker room. The FO didn’t like their mix. Yandle is a very popular guy.

8x10 on the other hand, is a very reasonable cost and deal for a 22 year old 1C who is only going to get better and better.

They’re in a tough spot with the cap. Roster size is 14 right now and they only have 20M in space. Hughes also needs a new contract. They’re pretty f***ed
