I recon Nemeth is a thing and that Chara is choosy about where he would sign.

But I think that Chara would be an excellent partner for Lundkvist and I bet someone like Miller could learn a ton from him. Chara deserves a lot of credit for McAvoy. I remember hearing Chara mic’ed up with McAvoy his rookie season, was very surprised just how strategical and active Chara was in how he worked with his partner.

Pretty fair deal. I like Armia. Real good on PK. Good soldier for that team. Very close to Goodrow albeit I would take Goodrow's versatility a bit more.

I dont see any of the bigger FAs like Landeskog (obv not), Coleman, or any of that nature signing a 1/2 year deal, so if you're gonna use the cap you're looking at 3-5 year deals and I just dont see anyone worth it in FA for that. Unless Drury has another trade or trades lined up (lord help us) there's just nothing there to use it on.

You can use it during the season too if something pops up, be it before or at the TDL

Probably, but flat cap for a number of years means a lot of escrow and teams pressed for cash. Some guys could look for a shorter deal to see how the land lies in a few years.

It’s only a matter of time my friends. The posturing back and fourth probably won’t be much longer. Buffalo had the 1OA pick and it was secondary news. They just kept getting bombarded with Eichel questions.
Adams is no fool. He’s not going to want to take long term dead cap space back that he could use to improve the Sabres.
Drury knows this, and he knows we have the assets. I’m betting he’s a ranger before camp.
