Fil Chytil says hi. Also, the lotto wins are likely the REASON we don't have any high end centers out of those drafts, as odd as that sounds.

Thank you Mr. Wizard

Do you have solution for our problem besides spending or trading a fortune as a solution?

Danault in, Strome out makes perfect sense to me. Long term cost certainty, Chytil gets a chance to blossom as an offensive player and the Rangers a lot tougher to play against. If they can pull off Nick Ritchie on top of this, I’d consider it a banner day.

not a huge Danault fan but that’s a safer plan imo.

It's funny- overpaying Danault and signing Ritchie is what I'm dreading.

Thats some interesting shit right there from a guy that is around a lot of the inner circle.

I'm hoping he's still drunk from the night before. Why would the Rangers clear the deck for Kakko and Krav (two high end guys, but neither of whom has demonstrated the ability to hold down a top six spot) and then import half a dozen centers to block Chytil out of the lineup altogether (when he's proven more than ANY of the 21 and under forwards)? Posts like Vally's make me worried that the Rangers are going to move this kid only to see him turn into a top 6 C for some other team and lament (yet again) that "we never draft good centers."

Plus, even with Strome/Danault differential, Nemeth and Ritchie contracts, they would still have something in the cookie jar for late season playoff acquisitions.

Not really. Trading Schneider or Lundqvist who represent a position of strength for somebody that is from a position of weakness (Center) is exactly the move that could/should be done at some point. Whether that point is right now is the issue. In my mind, Brooks' tweet should've been the following instead:

Brooks prepping the fanbase to part with Nils lol.

Or trying to boost the f*** out of that Schneider trade value.

I don't think we have a C problem. If Danault is too expensive and the price for Eichel is too prohibitive (and I'd steer clear of Eichel anyway), then hold on to Strome and deal him at the deadline as a rental. Get Chytil the minutes he should have gotten last year, and then enter next summer with more knowledge (re: what we have in Chytil and how the new pieces fit in).
