Christian Djoos is apparently on the block from the Caps after getting a 1y/$1.25M arbitration award. He has excelled when he's gotten the chance next to Carlson and even managed to put up very good numbers with Brooks Orpik as his partner.

We let Freddy Claesson, who was perhaps our best LD last year, walk depite a $715k QO.

Getting a very good and cheap LD every summer is trivial. While elite LDs are almost as rare as unicorns (much rarer than elite RDs), good/decent ones are dime a dozen. @Ola

His dad pear juice was a rangers legend

Board went down again. Automatically thought someone offershat Marner.
“Offershat”

When the board was down this morning I checked Twitter to see if a big trade went down and the first thing that was trending was “Chabot.” Almost had a stroke for a sec I thought it was Thomas

going to post what i think is a much more realistic way out of the "cap kerfuffle" we're in. no outlandish blockbusters lol. It will be fairly long and many of you may skip it, but I also think it is realistic and would be the best case scenario aside from the cap magically going up tomorrow. youguys may even want to make me GM after it ;)

You know, it's amazing. There's work to be done now, but despite the three S's, the Rangers are in PHENOMENAL salary cap shape, even with the Panarin and Trouba signings. Presuming both Namestnikov and Kreider move on this year, the ONLY* players the team has to really worry about signing next year are Georgiev, Fast, and arguably, Strome.

Based on that fact, there's an argument to be made for buying out more than one of the problem contracts; potentially all three.

*Depending on whether or not they decide to give Lemieux and DeAngelo one- or multi-year contracts.
