I would 100%. Oilers wouldnt be too interested in 1 year of Kreider (I would also think the Oilers are on his No Trade list). They'd want some combo of Chytil/Kravstov/Miller and a 1st in his place.

Draisaitl just put up 10 less points than all 3 combined for at 23. Draisaitl has produced well away from McDavid as well

I see no reason to attach Smith to Kreider and lessen the return when we could just buyout Smith to maximize Kreider's return. The long term ramifications of a Smith buyout is next to nil

Draisaitl has produced at a 2nd line level away from McDavid with poor on ice impacts without McDavid. I do not find his poor non-McDavid linemates a valid excuse as McDavid still produces among the best in the league with those same awful linemates. When McDavid does not play with Draisaitl he has scored at nearly the same rate that Draisaitl scores at when he plays with McDavid.

Draisaitl w McDavid: 2.78 pts/60 (~2000 mins)
