Did i say yall should blow your assets on him in that post? No, no I did not. I was saying that saying he's injury prone from one injury is absurd. You've made yourself very damn clear you don't want him, so what's the point of continuing to respond in the thread?
No you randomly picked out a comment in an exchange and ignored the context. The thread is about Leafs trading for ROR, I said, 'eeeeeeewwwww' given that he's past his prime and injury prone (given the miles on his body and that he's injured'.

I'd rather the Dubas invest trade capital on a player in his prime instead of getting another Folgino.

I dunno, why are you going off on me a bunch of useless responses, I guess you can do it but not me, and the Tim Hortons line was pretty clever.

The price is Robertson plus Kerfoot and a decent prospect like Abruzzese.
That's not gonna get you anything. Ror is gonna cost one of the following.

Knies 2023 1st and cap dump (1 year) possible retention

Or minten 2023 1st 2023 3rd or 2024 2nd plus cap dump retention.

I hate to break it to you, but it wasn't. At all.

Boston now after ROR. Apparently offering Lysell and their first. He brings so much to a team. Most important, dominance in the face off circle.

Leafs are going to play Tampa in round 1 and they are a playoff monster. Probably Boston in round 2 if that is successful.

Toronto has offense. They need more ability to shut the top players down on these opponents, and that's the appeal of ROR.

But, he belongs to another team and you're not alone in wanting him; in fact your direct opponents are being linked to him as Boston starts to get more mention. Boston knows what he's capable of. He's already out of the boot and will return in February plenty of games before the deadline.

Toronto Needs this guy and everything he brings. Anyone looking at injuries trying to downplay his ability is just ridiculous. There aren't many players that bring his skillset to the table. Cup experience and captaincy also. Any team chasing the cup should be looking at this player. It should come down to asking price as the reason to or not to make this deal. Injuries is a poor excuse.

No problem good luck. Not only do you not have any room for anything so you need to have a cap dump and retention but you want a high end rental. Good luck with what you are asking.
Uh..nice story?

So we currently have just under 2mil in space which is a fair bit at deadline. We could add one decently priced player without sending money back. We also have spare part players to play with.

The approach that we're doomed if we don't take your deal isn't too strong in a league with 32 teams. You aren't the only option.

The fact is there are concerns he can still drive a line and about the impact of his recent injury. He may not get you what you're hoping.

Leafs fans, pitch us Fraser Minten. What's he going to turn into & why?

Rentals never work out anyway. Players with term make more sense to us.

LMAO no chance ROR gets that kind of return

He is playing at a sub 40 point pace and sports a -28, best for second worst in the league.

Yeah we will see. Just like most of you said tarasenko would never return to form.... if I am wrong I am wrong if I am right I will gloat.

Also no player of ror quality, which doesn't include 1 bad season. Is going to cost less. Dubas is make it or break so he is going to pony up for something. Cap dumps and retention cost money.

Kind of hard for me to say what I think Minten's potential are. This moment I see a future third line centre but I can also see the potential there where that could level up. I think next year is really going to be the important year for him. Won't be on as stacked of a team and will be asked to do a heavier workload offensively. As is, he is one of the best faceoff guys in the WHL, good defensively. decent skater(good top end speed but takes him a while to get there). He does have a very good shot but I would say the biggest thing he has to work on offensively outside of improving his skating is his puckhandling.

Knies may be the demand. Agree +/- is a team metric. Blues as a team just haven't performed this year. Ror is exactly what leafs need to be contenders.

I don't think you get Knies and I don't think that if the role was reversed You'd want to move your top prospect either

Knies won't be moved for a rental. Rankings can vary, but he's basically in a same or similar enough tier to Snuggerud, and there's no shot we'd move him for a rental if we were a contender.

This blues fan gets it, although I suspect the one rental they would include him for is Meier
