Thank you. It's not derogatory. Nobody is suggesting he isn't tough or manly. He is. It is merely a slightly humorous take on traditional hockey practice of shortening names. We call Binnington Binny or Binner, Tarasanko we call Tank, Buchnevich we call Buchy. Barbashev we call Barbie.

Unless it gets eaten up by a player coming back from IR or LTIR.

I'm fairly certain you don't get to "accrue" cap space when a player is on LTIR....

You simply get to replace him while he's on LTIR.
