We screw up anf give up the slot on two brainfarts for goal one and then we give up a breakaway and ps for goal 2. It isn't luck for them though.
They hurl it over the glass and it's just luck for us.

Do you guys think that that great glove save at the end of the game on the breakaway by Lundqvist might get the guy's confidence in that situation up again?
BTW, is anyone else bothered by the fact that before the penalty shot Lundqvist made a pretty damn good save? So basically he was forced to make 2 tough saves on an excellent player. Seems unfair.

Yeah, that move by Skinner easily could've gone in, it was a solid save by Hank. That's why he got up all mad when he saw te ref signal for a penalty shot. Skinner got a high quality chance off and was gifted the penalty shot.
Hanks problems in breakaways are mental at this point. Hopefully that big glove save on that breakaway at the end can help him build it back up. He really needs another penalty shot and for him to stop it. It a big breakaway mid game that he stops. Something huge to build his confidence back up.

He didn't even say he intended to blow the whistle. He flat out said that he blew the whistle before the puck was in the net, which was clearly not true.
BTW guys, I really don't think we've seen the best of McDonagh. What do you guys think is his upside? Like if you were to compare him to another defenseman past or present.

I really think it's tough to say someone's upside is a top 10 maybe top 5 D-man of all time.
I am bothered by the fact that our $8.5 million a year goalie is being outplayed night after night by other goalies making 4+M less than him. Not bothered when he makes a save. Saving pucks is in his contract or maybe it should be and that would explain why he has stopped doing that.
Is anyone bothered that Khudobin was forced to make about 10 damn good saves during the game...AND HE DID?

I'm his biggest critic but I thought that was his best game since the olympic break. I don't think either goal was soft and he allowed only 2.
I noticed in the game he stopped two breakaways... one he had to stop the shot and rebound (than it got a bs penalty shot) the second was at the end of the game and was a great glove save... I usually bash on hank but he played great
